Item comes in a colorfully marked box, making it great for gifting. It comes with an easy to read instruction booklet and six separate projects. This is great for a group activity. Each bag has its own needle, material, yarn and velcro for purse closure. The material has pre-punched holes, making it easy to navigate. The purses are 4-5” big, making them somewhat functional.I'm using this in a co-op setting for the 9-11 age group, which will need some assistance. Younger kids will likely need greater assistance. Would recommend.

6u6This is such a cute set for learning to sew. There are multiple projects and simple directions. The wide needle prevents any injuries while learning. I'm using this with my daughter to learn the motion and then graduate to a regular sewing needle. My daughter loves the cute projects she gets to make. The items are cute with bright colors and a good quilt felt that holds up.

Kids as young as 4 or 5 should be able to work on these with assistance. Older kids will be able to navigate it will less help. Everything you need is included. This really is a great first sewing kit! I selected the “Purse” variation. There are six individually packaged sewing crafts. Each bagged craft has its own material, yarn, and even its own large plastic needle! They are six individual designs, with pre-punched holes so the child knows exactly where to place the needle. My daughter appreciates the large plastic needles because she is nervous using sharp metal needles. The designs are straightforward, which doesn’t allow for Individual creativity, but that is not the purpose of this kit so I am okay with that. This will help her gain confidence in sewing so she can sew other creations on her own afterward. In addition to the six individually packaged kits (which is great because more than one child can be sewing at the same time!) they thoughtfully included a large threader. Also included in this set is a two page beginning sewing instruction booklet. This kit is inexpensive and super cute! It would make a great gift for children age 4 and up. My nine-year-old daughter is enjoying using it. The little purses are bigger than I expected (4-5”) and can easily hold some coins, lip balm, or collectible erasers. My daughter chose to give the little purses away as gifts to her friends. I absolutely recommend this first sewing kit!

It comes with 5 separate packages and one needle threader. The needles are about as big as a toothpick, and the felt comes with pre-punctured holes. I did this with a 5-year-old. I would say that the cute design might be too advanced for her, but she did a great job sewing the border together. I think she enjoyed it overall. I think a little girl who loves crafts would love it.

This sewing kit is a great introduction to sewing. The designs are simple yet cute, with a nice variety. The felt pieces fit together well and line up nicely for the needle to go through the pieces easily. My granddaughter is 4 years old and with some help, she was able to complete the purse. Great kit to encourage patience and experience how pieces fit together to make a completed project. Definitely recommend.
