We haven't "tested" the padding but my 6'3" 180lb 15yo love it. He said it's warm, which is perfect for this time of year. It fits him perfectly. I believe I ordered an XL.

What a great classic look for cruisers and naked bikes. I am very pleased with the styling of the jacket and the comfort even with the crash pads installed. I am an ATGATT rider (all the gear, all the time) and so I have multiple jackets that I wear depending on temperature and weather forecast. This is at most a three-season jacket and you will need a rainsuit as it is somewhat water-resistant in light rain (I treated mine with a waterproofing spray) but no waterproof. The inner lining provides reasonable insulation, but a good base layer of heated liner is necessary below 50 degrees. You will also need a neck gaiter as the collar is designed not to interfere with your helmet (especially a full-coverage helmet) but does not turn up to provide any wind or cold protection. A great feature if you ride without a fairing are the arm snaps and wrist zippers which keep the material from flapping incessantly at highway speeds.I do not know how the material would hold up in a crash as it is not ballistic nylon as many jackets are, however, it will provide much more protection that a typical “street” jacket.PROS:• Sized correctly with room to wear with/without armor pads comfortably• Lots of pockets and an inner pocket for cell phone, etc.• Crash pads are soft and pliable which makes the easy to put it/take out• Zippers work smoothly and are easy to operate while moving• Inner lining is easy to remove/install with two zippers and one snap loop (not while moving)• PriceCONS:• There are two vents in the back of the jacket, but no vents in front preventing airflow around your torso without unzipping the jacket which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a jacket at all.• Zippers could be improved by adding zipper pulls to make them easier to find/operate while movingIn summary, this is a great day jacket and works for moderate weather. It is stylish and I wear it (without the pads) as a casual jacket. This is not a jacket I would take on a multiday motorcycle road trip but that is not what this jacket was designed to be, and certainly far more economical than a touring jacket.Great jacket, good priceFive stars for me

The riding jacket is of exceptional quality. Its meticulous attention to detail elevates both its look and functionality. The jacket is equipped with all necessary protective gear, giving you the flexibility to use it as needed.Throughout the jacket, you’ll find an array of thoughtfully placed snaps and closures that ensure a snug fit, preventing any flapping in the wind during your rides. It even has a removable inner lining, which adds an extra layer of warmth and attaches securely with zippers and snaps.Visually, the jacket is very attractive, with a polished and preppy vibe that sets it apart from conventional biker garments. Its tailored design makes it a versatile piece suitable for both the open road and casual outings. When it comes to sizing, it's important to note that the jacket tends to run a bit on the smaller side. My husband, who typically wears a 2XL, found this jacket to be snug even without the lining. To ensure optimal mobility and comfort, I would highly recommend opting for a larger size.

Five Star PlusRiding jacket w front pockets; Very good brand; at 150 Lb this fits very well, at 5' 10" it does fit a little long, may be a better fit for a slightly taller person. Warm, almost too warm for 60 F, the warm liner is very easy to remove or replace. Comfortable and not restrictive in motion while riding. Convenient 6 pockets on the front. 2 zipped and 4 with snaps. I do appreciate the convenience .This is not the first Iron riding jacket that I have, this seems to be a very good brand. All stitching and fabric are good on close inspection. Even better with this price point.

I love this motorcycle jacket. Its not like those traditional jackets where it looks like it's only meant to be worn when riding. Instead, it has a casual look and its color and design makes it perfect to wear for a lot of different type of riding - crusiers or sport bikes, riding around town or attending an event, this jacket will make you feel like you're just wearing another jacket. This jacket has has many pockets, allowing you carry small items like your wallet or phone as an example while the inside of the jacket has a removable liner that actually adds warmth when riding on cold days or it can be removed as well on warmer and hot days. What I like the most is the protection it offers - padds on your elbows, shoulders and back. This adds a layer of safety and assurance you'll receive some form of protection in the event you fall.

This denim jacket has built in padding and quilting. It also has an additional liner. The liner is well attached in the usual manner of snaps in the cuffs and zippers in the jacket body. A nice feature is the sleeve snaps are color coordinated to prevent securing them in the wrong orientation. All of the pockets are deep and functional. The zipper stops at the neck line and realize on the collar snap for the neck cuff. I personally prefer this so there is no zipper digging into your throat. The jacket does have some minor venting but there is no mesh on the inside so it prevents that airflow from passing directly over your skin. I ordered an XXL and found it to be a little snug in the arms and perfect in the shoulders. It is also tight on my winter beer belly so I will need to work on that. The bottom of the jacket is below my belt line covering that crack gap nicely even in a leaned over stance. The arms are restricted, raising them higher than shoulder level causes binding. Riding in sitting and leaning over tank positions are what the jacket is tailored for. Overall a very decent cool weather jacket at an affordable price with all the boxes checked.
