I bought this to use with heat shrink tubing while doing wiring on cars, trailers, etc.. I have a plug in version I've used for years but I wanted the convivence of a battery powered unit for quick jobs. This does exactly that. It is very affordable compared to a genuine Milwaukee one, and most people who have existing tools likely have a bunch of M18 batteries as well.Pros:- Tool feels great in the hand, and the buttons don't feel cheap. The plastic used seems of similar quality to my other Milwaukee tools. It's a fiber reinforced plastic rather than a cheap ABS.- It heats up quick and comes with a few different nozzles/attachments- It has a trigger lock to keep it on easily- It comes with a nice case to store the tool and accessories!Cons:- The airflow is a little weak. It works fine for heat shrink tubing, but I wouldn't use it for larger jobs such as window film or scraping paint- The safety to turn it on is quite annoying. You have to press the side button (where the forward/reverse on a drill would be) at the same time as you pull the trigger. I took mine apart and disabled that so I just have to pull the trigger instead.Overall for the price I still give it 5 stars. There's a money to value ratio on things and for the purpose that I bought this for, it does the job exceedingly well. For the bigger jobs, I'll still bust out the old trusty plug in model with an extension cord.
