Just arrived yesterday and add from what I see, it looks VERY well made. Nice size to have in a small shop. It's going to work out nicely. Only four stars cause I haven't mounted it or used it.

Originally I had hesitations about buying this because there weren't really any photos of it that were representative of its size but it's absolutely perfect for me. The PVC hose is good quality and despite it only being 1/4" line it has no problem with air flow and the drum actually seems big enough to fit another 10' or so of hose in it. The overall quality of the reel seems pretty good, and it has no issues with retraction, the spring is plenty strong. Won't know how it'll hold up till next I've had it awhile but I have high hopes. Anyway here's some pics you can actually get an idea of it's size

I mounted this to the side of my air compressor. I was tired of the jumble of air hoses. Now I've one nicely neat one that conveniently reels itself in when not in use.The reel is compact and attractive. It reels the hose back in without any issues whatsoever. For the price it would be nice if it came with a couple of quick-connect fittings.I haven't had it long, but so far no leaks. I'll update this review if there are any leaks.

There is nothing to make thee hose wind up flat (e.g. a lateral back & forth guide), so it ends up with high spots and stops retracting...then you have to pull it back out and try to let it rewind again so it will all retract. Sometimes takes 3 or 4 tries, which wastes the time that was supposed to be saved by using the reel!

I needed a convenient air hose reel for my tiny basement shop, to run some nail and staple guns. The normal size air hose reels (typically 3/8 x 50 ft) are just way too massive for a miniature setup like mine, so I purchased this Ironton. The hose is normal PVC, not a fancy hybrid, and the case is simple plastic. But for light duty home use, this fit the bill perfectly. The retraction mechanism works well and the stop was easy to adjust.

I bought this hose reel as a replacement for one I bought from Grizzly many years ago. The hose on the old one (plastic) just got so brittle it kept breaking. I actually found one here on Amazon that was exactly like the one that I was replacing, and almost bought it, but after looking at other options, I went with this one.Why? You might ask. Well, first off, this one offered a bit longer hose, which was a plus in my situation. Then the reel mechanism, appeared to be more robust (and in reality, it is). The mounting of the reel was better as well. I was skeptical at how the hose was going to be. I was afraid it might be stiffer and less pliable. In actual practice, it is much better than the one I was replacing.Overall, the quality and use of this hose reel was 100 times better than the one I replaced. And to top it off......it was less $$$$$ than the other one, by quite a bit. I highly recommend this hose reel.

Handier than a pocket on a shirt. Seems to be of good quality, easy installation, no issues at all. This is currently in service as my secondary "bench hose" over the workbench. Keep in mind, it is only a 1/4" hose, so not made for heavy consumption tools. But great for a quick zip of the die grinder, little ratchet, cleaning carbs, etc. Only gripe would be the fully enclosed cover... hose gets bound up while retracting once in a while. Why does it need to be enclosed? Just build it like the big ones, and it would be five thumbs up.

Working great so far. Really strong spring retraction, which is good. Many reels you have to feed the line back into, this one works great by itself. I have it mounted on a 10' garage ceiling. The stopper is adjustable so you can leave as much as you need hanging down so you can reach it.
