I ordered three pots of different sizes, while I received two and both cannot be used due to the fact that the coating is not of high quality

The silver coating on the copper melted like lead if leave on the stove without any liquid inside the pot. It looked like lead, and it will pool together into a liquid metal bead and free moving when the pot is very hot. BE careful as it could be a health issue (lead poison?) if you consume it when you cook your coffee. Took me a while to clean it out. Other than that the pot is good. work well and well made.

It was hard to find an authentic turkish coffee pot in Canada, given it isn’t the most popular coffee around. But this one is really nice, well made, hefty. The order came quickly. Packed well. And I have been using it for almost a month now twice a day with zero issues.

It's really small. Enough to make a cup of Turkish coffee though. (The cup actually has hot cacao). The quality is very nice and it's really beautiful.I think I would get a 14-16 OZer, next time, and may yet. I don't want to worry about get the coffee level just right and then thinking it's going to boil over. Also, I was surprised to learn that learn that you have to use a wooden spoon (included) to stir the inside and you can't let the inside air dry. Either or can ruin the tin coating on the inside. So I didn't realize this is actually hand made artisan folk art (probably for tourists) in Turkey. That said it makes sense they use old fashioned production techniques like hand tinning the inside. So if that's a deal breaker for you, get a stainless steel one. Not sure if I'll use this or wait to get the larger size, but either way, it's still a nice piece of folk art for the kitchen.

I searched a while for an authentic, high quality ibrik (cezve), as I love having a decent Turkish coffee. The copper is very sturdy and high quality, so it can be used for years to come. The inside is lined with food safe tin. The engravings on the side are beautiful too. Once you wash it, dry immediately inside/outside to prevent water stains. I use a Turkish brand of coffee called Kurukaveci Mehmet Efendi that I found at the Persian market (it’s also sold on Amazon) for delicious, high quality coffee with a rich flavor. I highly recommend it for an authentic Turkish coffee.I make 1-2 espresso sized cups at a time. The method I use that has never failed me is:1-Fill the ibrik with as much water as you need (I fill the espresso cup first and add)2-Add about 1 teaspoon per espresso cup of sugar to the water, depending on your taste. I use a little less. Do not stir yet; as the coffee heats up, the sugar will melt and caramelize for a rich flavor3-Add 1 heaping teaspoon per espresso cup of Turkish coffee. Do not stir yet-I just gently level off the top layer so it’s even, making sure not to stir4-Heat over low heat for 1-2 minutes, then gently stir the coffee5-Once a “crema” (light foamy layer, similar to espresso) forms and coffee bubbles up and begins to rise, remove from the stove and gently spoon off the crema and place inside the espresso cup(s)6-Return the pot to the stove over low heat, making sure to keep an eye on it7-Once the coffee boils and begins to rise, immediately remove from heat and pour into your cup(s). Make sure to catch the coffee before it rises all the way, to prevent it from spilling over8-Enjoy! If you’re inclined, once you finish drinking the coffee, place the saucer over the cup and hold onto it to turn the cup upside down. After a little (maybe 5-10 minutes), remove the cup to read your coffee fortune. If you’re looking for a decent, authentic ibrik/cezve, look no further.

The illustrations are fine but expecting better won't disappoint. This is a high quality Turkish product, worthy of the signature of a great country. I took the middle one to make at least 2 coffees at a time and it's perfect. I chose this model mainly for its design of the base which increases the surface in contact with the heat source. The quality is also in the design, isn't it? Extremely happy with this purchase. The packaging is also well done.
