This is my fourth IYV guitar, and the first IYV bass. I've owned other bass guitars from Fender, Tokai and Music Man, and this bass plays as good as any of the other bass guitars I've owned. What was remarkable on this bass was that it was out of the box perfect - no setup required. The roasted neck is buttery smooth, tuners and bridge are quality, the fretwork flawless, and the active pickups give you a very wide range of tones. This one is a player, and honestly, you could spend five times the money and not get a better instrument.

Excellent bass guitar, awesome finish and fret work, did not need set up, playable right out of the box .The neck feels great and very smooth. Great platform for modding or you can leave it as is.Played even better after a string change. I would definitely recommend this bass. Great company, I would however would have liked to see more colors to choose from. Over all 5 stars.

Well built. Good finish and electronics. Mine hasn't got the toggle switch as shown in the photos. Fretboard inlays are hideous dark geen.

This bass is basically flawless! Looks great, sounds great, plays great! The active pickups give you pretty much every tone you'll ever need. The neck feels nice, kind of slim and very comfortable to play. These sell out very fast so if you see it available, just grab it!

It’s beautiful. The flame top has depth and dances in the light. It’s kinda heavy, but balanced. The quality is amazing for the price. The pickups sound good. The preamp sounds good. The neck is really nice.Since they don’t describe them the controls are 1 volume, 1 blend to select pickup, then treble, mid, bass for the active (9v) preamp. The volume is a push/pull…in the up position it bypasses the active EQ. The switch is a master kill switch. You can play it without a battery but there is no passive tone control. It sounds good and the layout is ready for a high-end preamp should you choose to install one.The setup is pretty much perfect on mine. No adjustments needed to string height or intonation. The hardware is good. The bridge has extra metal and seems to be “high mass” - the tuners are solid. To say this this “punches above its weight” would be an understatement. It feels and looks like a high-end instrument, even with the factory strings. If you can snag one, get it. You won’t regret it.
