Got this to go in my son’s car, as he has a tool kit with sockets, but it did not come with a ratchet. This is a good quality ratchet for a good price. The teeth count means that you don’t have to spin it over and over to remove or install fasteners, which is really handy, especially in situations where he would be using it.

The yellow band around it is plastic. On the offense it it’ll help the jack go up and down. The center is metal but it’s thin metal. Does flex a little bit. Other than that the ratcheting is notchy. Which for what it’s used for isn’t a bad thing. The switch the change its direction is audible. Has a slight bend in it for clearance. Definitely going in my emergency car kit. A must for quick tire changes. I recommend this one.
