I have repeatedly bought these bowls. They last. Microwave safe. Nice size. We love them.

Looks good & practical , quality material but it’s plastic not china or ceramic, a bit pricey!

Yes, it's plastic and not very hefty at that. BUT...it's the perfect size and shape for ramen and even after pouring boiling hot liquid in it, stays relatively cool to the touch. Cleans easily and looks good too. It's made in Japan and I doubt that it would survive that market if it didn't perform well. Perfect for everyday use and one thing it won't do, like my last ceramic bowl, is shatter on the counter after slipping off the dish rack. Recommended.

Anders dan vermeld is dit product van kunstof en niet van porselein. Ik wilde juist geen kunstof icm warm voedsel. Deze gaat dus weer retour.

My only gripe, is that I wished there was some more Japanese art on the sides. It looks like ceramic bowls, but feels like a durable plastic. They're so well made, that when my (2) bowls arrived, they were vacuumed together; my second 'minor' gripe. You see, one way it shows the manufacturing process is done very well, with very low tolerances (unlike Chinese bowls). The other way, Japanese manufacturers did not take into account what happens when you stack the bowls (they will become air tight, and hard to dismount from one another).Other than that, they're quite large, and great for the man who has a large appetite; or, normal appetite if you're using the bowl for other than ramen or soup-like dishes. They work in the microwave, are of good plastic quality, and I hope they'll last a long time. The red and black is a nice contrast, referring to the olden 'clay' ceramic bowls when they were burned in ovens, giving that red and black looks. The sticker decoration on them, made them look real Japanese, however, I did not trust the quality of the sticker to survive more than a few dishwasher washes, so I removed them, making the looks of the bowl, more plain.

I love this bowl. It’s extremely durable- resists heat and cold very well. I’ve had some minor damage on the finish from microwaving it for several minutes at a time, but up to 3 minutes at a time should be safe. This bowl is extremely easy to clean, you don’t even need a dishwasher (although it is dishwasher-friendly as well). My favorite part is that it looks beautiful, and practically everything I’ve cooked and served in it so far has looked even better because of the bowl’s color scheme. Perfect for social media posts of your food! Highly recommend getting this bowl, despite the high price.

EDIT: After using these balls for my Ramen dinner, I realize they are deceptively large. The width of the ball is what threw me off, but they are very deep and hold a lot of soup. I am satisfied with these balls and I am going to order another set. Also, the plastic-ness of the bowls meant that it didn't burn my hand when I carried it from the kitchen to the dining room. That was nice.I was hoping to get a proper sized ramen bowl. This one is smaller than I expected (see photo comparing it to my average sized hands). Also seems to be made of mostly plastic, but I guess that's my fault for not checking the product specs. It's a nice miso bowl, but could not hold an entire meals worth of food. EDIT: it does hold a full means worth.

I am so happy I ordered these large 38 oz bowls. Holds more than a quart to the rim. Thats a man sized bunch of soup or chili. We have used them twice in 3 days both for near boiling Soup. We could easily hold these bowls in our hands from Stove to Table and NOT burn our hands. WOOHOO that is so nice. ALSO, the bottom of this bowl keeps the Soup Hot, and we had to keep blowing on each spoonful. I thought it would never cool down. They came lickety split quick, so I was able to use them that night after washing of course.I do hand wash them so far. But will see if they end up in the dishwasher over time. Haven't used them in the Nuker yet either. I also got a dozen of the Spoons that match, and I forgot to try them. DUH. Added a photo so people can see the spoons are pretty right on as for the color matching. The first night we had Rigotoni n Sauce. My Son balked at using the Japanese Noodle Bowls for Pasta...He said " It just isn't right, eating Pasta from a Noodle Bowl"...I laughed and laughed. But we all love these bowls. And the Pasta was Perfect in them. just sayin'
