They are extremely versatile, capable of producing a variety of tonal colors for a variety of musical styles. Each model is produced with one preferred facing. Medium or medium hard reeds cut with a strong center and thinner sides (such as the Rico Jazz Select, LaVoz or Vandoren Java) work well with the overall mouthpiece and facing design.

The mouthpiece itself looks fine, but I’m unable to play on it as the ligature does not fit at all. I am unable to put a reed on without the ligature almost immediately popping off while tightening the screws.Maybe they’re including a tenor ligature by mistake?Considering a return if I’m unable to find a ligature that works with this, as this mouthpiece is smaller than most.

Mouthpiece plays fine but the ligature is insanely small. It hardly allows me to get a reed on without it falling off. A friend who plays tenor sax confirmed that it works on his just fine, so take that how you will.

I have been playing on this mouthpiece since 9th grade. That's 18 years! I love theses mouthpieces so much that I have them for alto and tenor. I also have a backup Bari mouthpiece just in case something horrible happens.
