This piece is designed to replicate the longer driver side frame rail of the 1984 and later GM G-Body cars giving you the proper mounting locations for this crossmember.Some 1983 Hurst Oldsmobiles were originally equipped with a 2004R transmission and will not require this frame extension. If you are unsure, 1984 and later models will feature two mounting locations for the transmission crossmember approximately 14 in. behind the front set of mounting holes.Crossmember is designed for 1978-1988 G-Bodys that were originally equipped with an SB-Chevy. Does not fit Cutlass Supreme models or El Camino. Engine and transmission swaps may require some additional modifications & fitment of components. Hardware is not included.

Bolted right into my 86 Regal with the 2004r transmission. Seems well built and will accommodate dual exhaust without re-routing it. Well worth what I paid for it, as opposed to modifying or building one.

Fits fine on my 87 Monte Carlo. It does dig into the floor pan a little bit on the driver side. But fits on the frame and my 200r4 transmission just fine

The specs say it’s 48 inches in length but when I tried to install it into my 1980 Monte Carlo it was too short. So I double checked what the description said and it says 48 inches I ended up measuring it and it’s roughly 47 inches I hope they have another option and I just bought the wrong part or something
