The paper is smooth and the pages tear off neatly. The cardboard backing is strong enough to be able to write on the pad without needing to lean on a hard surface. I broke my arm and have been using these pads for all my writing and they are a great, manageable size for me to handle one handed.

I love the price for what the notebook can offer. The grid lines allow you to make cute to-do lists within grid lines for everything to be even. It's great for people with OCD, I guess. I use it for little notes daily. It isn't sticky, so it isn't a 'post-it note'. Paper is good quality and doesn't bleed with normal pens, but bleeds a little on sharpies if you attempt to blot it intentionally

These are small pads but useful to have around for quick notes, or to put in a purse, etc. Made some small holders to give to friends and they liked them.
