I was hoping to use this to apply a filter, then place a hood over it, but it doesn't allow for that. If you're not putting a hood on your Fuji, and want to just get a filter on it, this is a good part. The stock lens cap also fits over it, but tightly, and the texture can wear on the fabric inside the lens cap. The color and texture are a pretty close match.

The JJC AR-X100 adapter ring impresses with its sturdy build and sleek aesthetics, matching perfectly with the focus ring of my Fujifilm X100VI. The snug fit provides confidence in its weather resistance, and I’ve had no issues with it staying securely in place, even during frequent lens adjustments. While the adapter protrudes about 2 mm more than my previous ring, this hasn’t caused any practical problems, even when storing the camera in a bag or attaching accessories like lens hoods. I’ve also tested it with various 49mm filters, and everything attaches smoothly without interference.Overall, this is a great value for the price, with only the slight protrusion keeping it from a perfect score. If you’re looking for a functional and stylish replacement for the Fujifilm adapter ring, this is an excellent choice.

I don't have the official Fujifilm version to compare but this JJC adapter works great. It does protrude quite a bit more on the lens than without this attachment, but it clears the screwed in filter threads from the closest movements the lens gets to it.As for the other physical aspects---Color: While the silver isn't a perfect match to the X100 series, it is really really close. If you inspect closely you'll definitely see the difference but to the lay person looking at your camera from a normal distance, you can't tell that it is different!Pattern: The pattern resembles that of the focus ring, but in a larger pattern size. I do wish it was a closer match but at least functionally this does not pose any issue and still looks like it belongs seamlessly on the camera.Size: This is probably the only part that can be a bit annoying, though it can also be a good thing. It is ever so slightly thicker than the barrel of the lens, so the original X100 series cap will still fit on it but will fit a lot more snugly. If your lens cap's felt pads are already worn down then this will be great as it'll be more secure. In the contrary though, it'll wear out the pads a bit quicker and when you remove the adapter the lens cap will likely eventually feel quite a bit looser on the camera. The alternative is to use a snap-on lens cap.But overall, this is a pretty great budget adapter that looks mostly the part and certainly functions the part.

I've been very happy with this lens filter adapter. It's well made with an all metal design. The knurled edges give it a nice premium feel that matches the look of the knurled focus ring on the X100VI. This matches my black X100 VI perfectly. I had no issues with standard 49mm filters working on this. I like that this allows you to still use the stock Fujifilm lens cap with your camera, so you don't need to invest in a separate 49mm lens cap if you're using this. They were quite tasteful in their approach with this, putting their logo on the inside facing side of this filter adapter so it's not outward facing and obnoxious. For the price you can't beat this. 100% would recommend!

I spent an admittedly long time researching various options for protecting the precious fixed lens of my X100VI. I looked into both low-profile "all-in-one" designs (e.g. the NiSi NC UV Filter II, Haoge LUV-XVIB, etc.) and traditional adapters (e.g. Fujifilm's official AR-X100, various third-party copies of it, and this JJC version) across several different retailers before making a decision.Ultimately, I elected for an adapter so that I could easily switch between a protective UV filter and my various "creative" 49mm filters if desired. I then specifically decided to try this JJC version because of its unique design compared to the others. Despite its relatively low cost, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the adapter upon unboxing it. Here are a few thoughts:• The aluminum build feels lightweight but sturdy. It securely threads onto the camera and the 49mm filters I tried with it. Along with a screen protector for the rear LCD, this setup provides a sense of security when taking the camera out and about, wearing it around your neck or wrist, and/or tossing it into a bag or pocket.• While not as low-profile as an "all-in-one" design, this adapter does not add a bothersome amount of length or weight to the lens. If anything, it gives a more comfortable indexing point for a support hand if needed.• Its design very closely matches the lens' control ring. The color is more of a matte finish compared to the camera lens/body, but is a near-perfect match to the Hoya HMC UV(C) filter's ring. The knurling is slightly more coarse so it is not difficult to differentiate it from the control ring by feel alone if necessary.• The stock lens cap (and even a Haoge Cap-X54B replacement) fits over the adapter, albeit firmly due to the knurling. In fact, I have to consciously avoid rotating the cap counterclockwise while removing it in order to avoid inadvertently loosening the adapter from the lens.• I have not noticed significant vignetting or shadowing when using a filter and the camera's built-in flash, respectively.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and consider it to be one of my "must have" accessories for the X100VI!

It’s a little deeper and longer than I thought it would’ve. Definitely deeper than those “slim” filter with adapter options. The silver isn’t quite there but close enough. 49mm filter thread works well (as you can see I attached a 49mm lens hood).
