Nicely made spoon. I love the shape of rice paddles for a large variety of cooking projects and wanted something more sturdy than the plastic ones I have. This does the job. It's a little bigger than the plastic paddles I have but I prefer that. While it is listed as dishwasher safe I will not be washing it that way. I think it would survive, but the dishwasher will shorten its lifespan and the heat could possibly warp it. I plan on purchasing a second to completely replace my plastic paddles!

This is a great rice paddle; the wood is smooth; the paddle is sturdy and well-made; it fits nicely in my hand. I like it so much that I immediately bought another one as soon as I received this one.

Got as a gift my girlfriend. She cooks allot of rice. She loves it! Very well made. no moving parts to breakdown. handle is comfortable in the hand for long periods of spooning. Cousins should stay away, "cause it will hurt more!" Limited lifetime warranty should be offered against high scoop counts, and splintering (i'm personally not worried at all about either of these) Totally would understand the void of said warranty against fire sterilization and using as a surgical instrument (that is not what this is intended for)

These are an upgrade from any other wooden spoon you ever tried. I bought an expensive electric wok for Christmas and these are the utensils I bought to use in it. They work really well. I hand wash them to keep them from drying out. I love their thick construction and generous spoon real estate. The short handle makes them easier to store too. I also got the three piece set so I never run out of utensils to use. Such a terrific deal!

Just what we were looking for. The last rice spoon we had lasted for 10 years. I'm sure this one will do the same. Made of very nice wood and has a great shape and feel to it. It was a lot less expensive than the ones in our local cooking stores.

Sticky Rice and Jasmine rice are the ultimate test for testing the durability of the product. And this is as sturdy as it can get. It has very sleek design which is really awesome for a rice "scooper" . Ergonomics of this product is brilliant.

We had a white plastic serving spoon that was very discoloured. Red and yellow food stains did not wash off. Yuk. Replaced it with this bamboo spoon. Very nice quality, very pleased with it.

Really nice rice paddle. The feal of real bamboo wood compared to a plastic rice paddle is much more enjoyable and easier to get rice out of your rice cooker or pot.

A really nice rice spatula. My only complaint is that the sticker on the back was super sticky, and it took ages to get the last of it out of the little ridges.

Although the Bamboo rice utensil's form and finish are very good, the only draw back is the horrible sticker that has been place on the back / lower end of this rice ladle which is a big negative since you need to peel off the sticker and spend SEVERAL minutes washing off the sticky residue which is quite resistant to coming off. The label could very well have been omitted or even stuck onto a piece of paper and tied onto the utensil, thereby saving a LOT of trouble. Quick shipping. Fair price.

I received this order faster than the ship due date HOWEVER the paddle I received had a small flaw. Rather than send it back, and go through that process, I decided to repair it myself. Maybe no one noticed or thought much, but mine looked like something had gotten against like glue or finish in the center, so it was raised and rather rough in this line and another place of same dimension close along the same area where it was sat against something and not fully dried. It was not very noticeable, I thought the rice might be more prone to stick there though. This was one of my main reasons for purchase to not have rice stick as much to the spoon when making sushi. So I sanded the area and then put a thin layer of clear finish to try and match it. It did not take long, as I had the materials at hand to do this... but the point is a consumer should not really have to do that. This is why I gave it four stars. I do not want minor defects when I purchase things from a store or online, especially if those defects could affect the function and normal use. It is not the esthetics that was a problem or shipping, as it was exactly what I wanted and hoped for. It was nice and I like it. The shipping was faster than expected, also.
