  • What it does: The module can be rotated by the roller movement of the X and Y direction of the rotary axis, through the fixed in the rotation of the rotary axis of the multi-pole magnet magnetization, the corresponding SMD Hall components to send a signal, in order to determine the trajectory of the movement.A small SMD switch is also designed underneath the trackball, which is convenient for the user to trigger an event or click "Select".
  • Features: A slight roll of the trackball creates multiple high/low transitions on the four axis pins, easily picked up by any microcontroller essentially giving you the option of adding a mouse to your project.
  • Direction pin: UP (upper), DWN (lower), LEF (left), RHT (right), BTN (middle button).These 5 pins serve as key inputs and are connected to the microcontroller.
  • Color pin: RED (red), GRN(green), BLU (blue), WHT(white).These 4 pins are used as the output of the microcontroller.The high-level light is off and the low-level light is on.

Instructions for use:
1. Connect to the development board through the 11pin header.

Love these things. I'm using one in my handheld HOTAS project for DCS and will be using it as the pilot's point of view. I'm also using the RGB ball as a way of alerting the state of things with various colors depending on the situation.Only thing is that the package arrived with a few extra balls that I have no idea how to attach to the breakout board. They don't seem to click into place and I doubt I'll be able to solder it in.

Only one of the trackballs actually worked. The other two had some sort of adhesive stuck inside and would not roll at all.

DOA.Button is missing or broken, trackball has no vertical movement, pin is not sunk to ground on pressure.
