Installtion Notes
-1.Clean all positions with rubbing alcohol where will be covered in the shifter plate. (Very important);

I thought I'd dress up my 4runner a little bit so I ordered these eyebrow and eyelid headlight covers. They have a carbon fiber print, which looks pretty cool, and the materials they're made out of is pretty thick. I'd guess around 2-3mm. The edges are beveled so they slope down to the surface of the headlight, so that's a nice touch. The directions suggest heating up the pieces prior to attempting to peel off the backing. I live in the south so I set the pieces on the hood and let them sit in the sun for around an hour. The backing peels off pretty easily. As far as application: I started closest to the grill and worked my way to the outside of the headlight. Even so, I had to peel back the sticker and reapply several times to get it right. Also the headlights are curved ever so slightly and this stickers do not take the curve into consideration - so I had to bend them a bit to get them to fit snugly. The problem with that is then I had a pucker on the leading edge of the sticker, and I can't get it to stay flat no matter what I do. I'm thinking over time that they'll probably separate and I'll end up removing them. I'm also concerned what will happen to them if I take the vehicle through a carwash. They do look good, however. I'm just not sure how long they'll last.

I just finished applying these to my 2019 TRD Off Road and I'm happy with how they look. To be fair, I painted the pieces satin black before applying as I'm not a fan of the faux carbon look on anything. I had already blacked out part of the trim and badges so these pieces complimented what I already had going on. The pieces are all made of a nice thick vinyl and after allowing them to warm in the sun for a few hours, they were pliable and easy to install. Obviously, I have no basis to comment on durability, but I'm not concerned as the pieces seem to be pretty heavy duty. Overall, if you are looking for something subtle to differentiate your 4Runner from the herd, this is a nice kit to start that with.
