The designs need to be much deeper to work with fondant. Not sure if it it works for other materials, but look for something else if using for fondant.

I am very pleased with these little impression mats. I am not using them in fondant, rather with polymer clay. I recommend using very well conditioned, soft polymer clay, otherwise the pattern will be too shallow and barely visible. But they press very nicely into soft clay and I love how they look. Like these a lot!

The designs are very nice, however the debossers need to be deeper, so the expressions show up more, they are barely visible. They are constructed very well…

Excellent quality and beautiful designs. You do need to press down rather hard for the design to show up well, but it looks beautiful on the fondant.
