These are genius! Such a simple and effective way to deal with a common problem, i.e., recessed sprinkler heads. Works just as advertised. Will definitely buy again.

This is am amazing product. I used to have to dig down around the sprinkler body to get to the bottom so I could screw on an extension riser to get the sprinkler about 1 ½ inches higher after it sunk into the ground. The spray would barely clear the grass. It could easily be a 2-4 hour job if you had to deal with tree roots. My hands would always seem to get torn up.Somewhere around 10 years ago, I was so tired of this digging that I designed a product similar to this Kap-It Riser. I sent a sketch to Rainbird explaining the issue for them to consider this as a part of their product line. I wasn't looking to get a monetary award, just a fix like this one. Never heard from them. Why they didn't do this, I just don't know why. They missed an opportunity. So, am I impressed? I am.

These extensions saved me a bunch of money because my lawn over the years have raised up so that the sprinkler popup was not high enough any more. These were easy to snap on in about 2 minutes per sprinkler head an NO digging needed

These are great for raising the height of pop-up sprinklers without a lot of work. Now heads which were previously blocked by the now taller grass are working great.

What a great idea! It sure looks like it will last a long time, and it certainly beats digging up every sprinkler head to extend it’s reach. Works perfectly, and when you consider it’s cost, it’s cheap and easy to perform the modification. One word of caution - it only works on the larger diameter, sprinkler heads. Aside from that, I have recommended it to my neighbors.

This has to be one of the best products to suit its purpose of anything I've bought. Over the last 20 years, the ground around several sprinkler heads had built up such that the sprinkler tops were 2"-3" below the soil level. I was facing the prospect of pulling off sod and digging out side'-entry sprinklers - a multi-hour proposition - or paying my sprinkler guys $200+ to do it. I installed 6 of these in less than 30 minutes, and most of that time was cleaning off the existing sprinkler heads. Rainbird and Orbit missed out on an opportunity to make something similar. I just ordered another pack in case they stop making these!

I have industry standard (and arguably the most popular) Rainbird brand irrigation heads. I bought this product to raise up the sprinkler heads on one side of my house, but this actually made the problem worse rather than better. First of all, the riser caps do not clip to the top of my industry standard Rainbird heads. The caps are way too big, so the caps just lift up with the riser tube/spray head and completely block all flow. On top of that issue, the riser tube/spray head does not easily pass through the hole on top of the cap, so the head and the tube get stuck in the cap. My irrigation system is rather old (18 years), but I've replaced most of the heads over the years. Regardless, I thought maybe I just have really old irrigation heads in that area, so I tried the Kap-It on a brand new Rainbird brand head that I have as a spare. Nope! Same problem -- the Kap-It product doesn't clip on the BRAND NEW head because the Kap-It riser cap is simply too big.So, after installing 8 of them, I now have to go back and uninstall all of them and just fix the problem the old fashion way from the bottom with a good ol' reliable riser extension. I should've just done this from the beginning. This product is just not good at all, and actually makes the original problem worse by riser cap extension blocking the spray even more than the grass was. A waste of time and definitely a waste of money. This product is definitely not worth $50 for 10. This product should still be in the development/design phase.Incidentally, I did not receive what is pictured with this listing. I received a similar product that has a 0.5" rececessed "K" on the top (I guess for the "Kap-It" branding?). Being so deeply recessed like that makes it VERY difficult to get access to the spray head to lift it up for adjustment, removal, installation, etc. of the Kap-It product. REALLY bad design, and I'm guessing that what I got was the newer version? If so, this is not an upgrade. I can appreciate wanting to establish some branding identifiers for a product that will likely be mass copied soon, but I think it makes the product worse, and it already wasn't working properly for me.
