Way cheaper than hiring someone to do it. Super easy, no reason not to do it yourself

I have had my Rinnai tankless heater serviced over the last 12 years, but decided to try this servicing myself. This Kelaro system is complete and it was very easy to perform the flush with vinegar. The pump is very good quality. The Kelaro kit also came with simple to follow instructions.

This worked well and was less expensive than another one I had previously used. Hoses are braided metal and durable, the pump appears well built and as long as it lives on for several years I plan to do this cleaning every year.

This kit was perfect. Hooks up easily. Pump worked flawlessly. Bucket is plenty big.

I use this kit to flush my tankless water heater. I have used the water heater for 18 months. After flushing, the temperature of hot water supply raised to as if it was new. However, this kit is under value for the price. I can spend much less if I buy the components separately.

Flushed my Navien with no issues. No need to read the instructions that came with the flush kit or with the Navien. I watched one video on YouTube to figure out where the air intake and water filters were. The rest is easy. The pumping hoses are inside the plastic pail. It's assumed that you would use the pail when doing the flush. I chose not to. I used a 20 litre pail instead.

I was hesitant at first because I had never owned a tankless system before. After using this I am mad I didn’t sooner. Let me explain. My tankless heater was a huge investment. I knew that I needed to descale it periodically from my installer giving me the details. I was concerned because I priced the service for e professional to do the service and was shocked at the cost. For my area it would have been $400-$500 dollars. This product was totally worth the investment. The ease of use is ridiculously simple. 2 gallons of vinegar and instructions so simple it took less than 5 minutes to install. Per the instructions you run for 45-60 minutes, flush and then use the tankless per normal. I did experience a slight leak at the hot side of the unit but I can’t be sure that the product was at fault or I had it installed but it wasn’t enough to cause an issue and I was able to complete the task with no issues. After letting the unit and hoses dry I have it stored for another use at a later date. Definitely would recommend you protest your investment and get this for your tankless

This is very easy to use, and I am not a person who knows anything about plumbing. I was nervous, so I watched 3 different You Tube instructional videos and still had my daughter help me. We both agreed that it was a pretty easy process. It takes about 10 minutes to hook it up and get it ready, then it does its thing, and another 5-10 minutes to disconnect. All I needed was a pair of plyers, since some of my valves were hard to open and close. There was no mess to clean up; I just took 5 minutes to rinse the hoses and pump after and let them dry before putting away.I have 2 tankless water heaters that I had installed about 5-6 years ago. I paid over $100 each to have them flushed each year. Last year the price jumped to over $300 (EACH! so yes, over $600!!!) Prices have only gone more crazy since, so I'm sure it's even more now. I have well water; I know I can't just let them go without cleaning. Now that I have the kit, it's just a matter of 3 gallons of vinegar for each unit, and I'm good to go! Yes, like everything else, the price of vinegar has doubled recently, but still, it cost me $600. Even if you are rich, or kinda lazy, just do this. It's no big deal, and it just makes sense. The hoses and pump fit in the bucket with a nice sealed lid to keep them clean and easy to store until I need it again next year. I just wish I'd done this from the very beginning!

I purchased this and used it on my tankless water heater at the advice of a neighbor, and it seems to work; there was a little bit of something that came out of the heater and ran into the bucket. It wasn't expensive, was simple to use, and came with everything I needed to do the job. And it all packed up conveniently in the bucket. I will use it annually to control any scaling. I hope it extends the life of my tankless water heater.

I have a very large new external Rinnai heater and this was my first self-service 6 month descaler attempt. I ran the circulation for 45 minutes and after only 6 months I didn't notice anything unusual in the vinegar after completing the process.A review I read mentioned the included Kelaro bucket is insufficient, so I had a backup 5 gallon bucket standing by.However, 2 gallons of Costco white vinegar in the included Kelaro bucket works perfectly. The Kelaro instructions corresponded to the Rinnai instructions which coincidentally instructed to use 4 gallons of white vinegar, instead of only 2. But, 2 gallons was fine.Perhaps even 1 gallon would work, since the Kelaro pump works great, As long as you ensure the red hose is submerged close to the bottom of the pump, I assume the vinegar would circulate fine with only a gallon. I bet the red hose could be weighted at the bottom of the bucket to ensure it was flowing directly into the bottom of the pump. 2 gallons seems like a safer bet to ensure the pump is always pumping vinegar - in case you step away and the red hose moves, etc. And, vinegar is relatively cheap. The pump will possibly break without liquid running through it, of course.I also read in a review to pump water through the whole system to clear vinegar from the pump and hoses before storage - before moving onto the stage of clearing out any vinegar from the heater. So, I went ahead and utilized the backup 5 gallon bucket and moved the pump (disconnect the power first, of course) into it and took 10 minutes to circulate water. You could of course also do this with the included Kelaro bucket. Always make sure to unplug the pump if removing it from liquid.Lastly, I moved onto the instructions to clean vinegar from the heater, which at that point was pretty redundant. A couple five gallon bucket fill-ups later and the water coming out of the heater tasted fine. I watered some plants :) and dumped the vinegar down my bathroom sink drains as a probably useless gesture to help dissolve gunk. All in all a great kit, even if it's too expensive IMO. Easy enough for the mechanically disinclined to use.Set aside a good 1.5 hours to complete the job which incudes staging everything and cleaning up when your done. An extra 15 to write the Amazon review haha.
