To start with, it's a ground tarp, designed for the Kelty tent we bought. But this is very frustrating, being asked to review something that we have not used yet. The tent and tarp were ordered for an upcoming camping trip late in July 2024, so other than opening the tarp and laying it out, we have no idea if it will prevent ground moisture from coming through and into our tent. We don't know how long it will last. Being a tarp we can say it was easy to lay out, and Kelty's thoughtfulness in adding color-cued straps to match the color-cued attachment-points on the corners of our tent is a great idea. The best we can say about Kelty's ground tarp is: It appears to be high quality. It appears to be very well-made. It fits our Kelty tent as it should. We were able to fold it back up so that it wasn't any more bulky than when it first arrived. So for now, we think this was a good purchase. But, if after we've had an opportunity to use it and find it's deficient in some way, we'll come back and at that to our review.

Great footprint- the color coding on the corners does not match that of the tent, but the size and durability are perfect.

Given that it's COVID... I had to buy what I could find. I know that Kelty makes a durable tent, so I went with this. It's strong, it's durable. But... two things I really don't like:First, the slots along the top that you shove the poles through. I imagine there is SOME reason to have full slots like this, as opposed to clips... I just can't fathom what it is. Trying to get the poles all the way through by yourself, without the joints catching on places, is just a giant pain in the rear end. Push, shake, tug, straighten, repeat... 20 times. I much prefer my Alps Mountaineering tents where the tent simply clips to the poles, it's 10 times faster and easier.Second, the drip guards around the door zipper... there's just no quick or easy way to open the door, especially one-handed, you're GOING to get a rain guard caught in a zipper that way. Particularly where the two overlap, you've got to purposefully use a second hand to hold at least one out of the way while you carefully move the zipper past. Now, those two things out of the way.... everything else about the tent is fantastic. Nice and tall, lots of room. Mesh pockets in all 4 corners of the tent, so no matter which side you're sleeping on or which way you're oriented, you've got something for your stuff.
