This mallet has a nice long, well finished handle. It fits nicely into the rubber head which is hefty and has the perfect hardness. It has some give but isn’t as hard as the mallets in many stores that feels more like a hard plastic. It feels similar to Estwing mallets but has more weight to it, which is exactly why I purchased this mallet in the first place. Excellent tool.

head on the one i purchased came loose the first day ,usually kentool has great products,maybe it was just a bad one?

This is the only American made rubber mallet I've been able to find (at least it was when I got mine), and according to Ken-Tools most recent catalog it still is. And it's the best quality I've been able to find (no surprise there).
