I've never used filters before, I bought a few from a different brand and just didn't like them. These were the only ones I've tried that let me fit a lens cap and lens hood with the filter still attached, I'm no expert but I had my first attempt this morning and for the first attempt I'm really impressed, I took photos of the sunrise and the sky looks so good, well I think so anyway!

This filter is very niche but I can take photos of the sun now! Would probably need a longer lens tho (at 200mm the sun is just a tiny dot). You could do long exposures but to get a decent exposure on a clear afternoon outside, I needed a 30 second exposure at f/2.8 with the ISO at 6400. Crazy. I do notice it does hinder the quality a bit but it’s what you get for a $30 filter.

This ND filter is fantastic for deep dark long exposure photography.

I got both the ND100000 (16.6 stop) and ND1000000 (20 stop) for the Apr 8 2024 eclipse. They both worked well. I used the 20 stop during full sun at ISO100 f8 exposed between 1/4 to 1 second. The 16.6 stop max'd out at 1/1000 sec during full sun, but worked great shooting thru thin clouds with about a 1 second exposure. These are a good inexpensive choice for solar photography. Sun spot will show but you need an hydrogen alpha (Ha) filter for solar flares. CAUTION As the amount of UV blocking is not known, don't use the optical viewfinder, instead use the electronic live-view screen to protect your eyes!

I used this filter to photograph the total solar eclipse with great results. I mounted in on my old Nikon D200 with the 18-200 Zoom and a tripod. This was likely a one-time use, but I would buy again.

When they say blocks out all light they are not kidding lol...which is a good thing. You can only use it when you have a direct view of the sun....if there are clouds you will see nothing. I've gotten amazing shots with it.....i love being able to capture the sun spots

The perfect item for getting quickly in focus and in position to follow the Full Eclipse as it unfolds...As far as I can tell the optical quality is excellent... compared to what I got thru an 8" small telescope this filter on my Nikon 300-mm telephoto was nearly "as good" when focused right... AMAZING!!! thanks for this...
