This is great for my emerging swimmer. Doesn't interfere with arm paddling but still gives help and confidence. Best part is you can remove pieces the better they get. Only down size is it takes a bit to remove and add.

I shopped around for a floaty that wasn't bulky as I wanted my toddlers to learn to swim. I wanted something that wouldn't get in the way of their arms. Worked better than I expected. I did have 1 instance of the buckle coming off when he jumped in the water. So u need to make sure the 3rd button is properly latched when putting it on

The belt and clasp on this float are set up really well and the belt itself is super soft so it can be worn with or without a swim shirt.

We have had this for 1 month, our 2 year old jumped in and it ripped off as the part of the buckle broke ( you can see in the picture where the plastic is missing) and he started to panic and sink and I had to jump in and save him.
