The quality of these mittens is exceptional. They are made of a warm and cozy material that keeps my hands toasty even in freezing temperatures. The black color is sleek and versatile, making it easy to pair these mittens with any winter outfit. The "large" size fits true to size, providing ample room for my hands without being overly bulky. What sets these mittens apart from traditional winter gloves is their convertible design. With a simple flip of the fingerless mittens, I can easily expose my fingers for tasks that require dexterity, such as using my smartphone or handling small objects. This innovative feature saves me the hassle of constantly removing and putting on my gloves, ensuring that my hands stay warm at all times. The flip mechanism is easy to use and secure, with a strong magnet that keeps the mittens in place when they are flipped back. This feature ensures that the mittens don't accidentally flip open while in use, which can be a common issue with other convertible gloves.Additionally, the Convertible Mittens Flip Fingerless are designed with touchscreen-friendly fingertips, allowing me to use my smartphone without having to flip the mittens open. This feature is incredibly convenient and has saved me a significant amount of time and hassle.

Even if you don't have a need for gloves for winter fishing or shooting, these are great general cold-weather gloves. I find that the mitten style keeps my fingers warmer than standard gloves do, and the elasticized wrist, adjustable cinch, and extended length help eliminate cold gaps between gloves and coat sleeves. These gloves have strategically placed covered magnets that keep the finger and thumb flaps out of the way when needed, and also help hold the gloves together when removed. A click-connector at the wrist also keeps them together. I found that you can actually expose just the index finger and keep the others covered (see pic). This is helpful if you only want a bare trigger finger, or uncovered finger and thumb for tying knots or other small item manipulation. I typically wear a size large glove, and these fit nicely true to size...neither too tight nor too loose.

These gloves are a nice medium weight and would be good for both low temp fishing (not ice) and general use in the winter. They have long cuffs and are light enough that you won't get sweaty if you're moving around. The magnets are strong and hold the flaps back well. If I had one issue it is that flipping back the thumb cover requires me to pull my thumb back into the glove a little bit to get the clearance. Not a huge thing, but it might require the use of both hands. Overall another well made Kingfisher product.

Pros: After testing quite a few products from Kingfisher, I can say everything so far is excellent quality and these gloves are no exception. Very comfortable and perfect for cool/cold weather fishing. The ice is just out and these glove/mittens let you protect your hands while waiting for the big one. Easy to flip between mitts and open finger gloves to remove the hook. Very good grip. Works great for using the snow thrower too! Update: Magnets on the thumb! Great way to hang onto stray hooks while busy using your hands for other stuff!Cons: Only think I could possibly say is a con is they arent suitable for -20F but the fish dont bite when it gets that cold anyway so not a problem.Summary: These gloves are another fine example of Kingfisher quality. These are now my favorite gloves and I prefer them even to my leather snow gloves. Comfortable and do a great job of protecting your hands from early ice-out fishing at the river when the cold humid days normally make your hands numb with cold. Discovered the magnets-very cool feature for fishing!

These are nicely designed for use while fishing. The mitten and thumb flaps flip easily and are held satisfyingly by the magnets. Other similar gloves I tried had button snaps which were time consuming to use; magnets are a much better approach. They're fairly thin, but they do take the edge of the cold, especially because you can make a fist inside the mitten. I appreciate that they're machine washable as well, a good feature in a fishing glove. The stitching seems to have some flaws, but the price is quite good so I can excuse some minor defects.

These gloves put such a smart spin on a convertible mitten. The magnets that hold the flaps on both the fingers and thumbs are simple but genius idea. Other convertible mittens require you to button something or use a snap but you literally just flick these covers off and they retain themselves with the magnets. They're made of a soft shell material and I'd consider them a medium-weight? Good for cool weather fishing but if you're ice fishing in temps well below freezing you might want something with more insulation. I live in the southeast so these are great for me. The palms have a nice rubber or silicone coating to them making maintaining your grip on a rod or paddle very easy. The simple styling and color make these good for just wearing around town as well--they're not just for fishing.I will say I ordered the Large and they're a little bit bigger than I'd prefer. I'm 6'2" 180 lbs for reference. I have a pair of Kingfisher sun gloves in L/XL and those fit tightly and these mittens definitely fit larger. If you're on the edge of a size you might consider sizing down.Overall I'm super happy with these and might get another pair for every day use so I don't have to worry about getting this set all fishy.
