These are great!!!!! I was looking for a Bluetooth bookshelf speaker pair for my workshop and I looked at many different products before purchasing the Klipsch 9’s. I am not disappointed and honestly, I am very impressed. They were super easy to setup and connect to and they sound amazing. I was using a portable speaker up to this point and this is a huge step up in sound and volume capability.Furthermore, these speakers are really well made. Very nice finishes and they are heavy!!!Very happy with my purchase.

Don't buy this, they stopped working after 7 months, I tried a hard reset several times, disconnected and reconnected a few times, I tried calling the seller, they said to do what ti had just don't, no luck, now they're just sitting in the garage getting dust until I get someone to fix them somehow. Please don't waste your money on them, although when they were working they sound really good, but they stop working after a while.

I grew up in a Klipsch household with Klipschorn corner speakers in our basement. Our neighbors hated us but it was worth it because they sounded epic. Fast forward many years and I wanted to rediscover vinyl records without investing a fortune. I didn't need a receiver because I don't listen to the radio anymore, and an amplifier seemed a bit overkill for just a turntable. So, I bought a Audio Technica turntable with a preamp and decided to buy some powered speakers with Bluetooth. The first set I bought were Edifier S3000 Pro speakers. They were very nice but unfortunately they shipped with a chip out of the left wooden cabinet which disabled the tweeter. It took me a few days to figure out why the sound wasn't balanced and then I finally stuck my ear in the tweeter and heard nothing. So, I sent them back and thought I'd try a bigger speaker to fill my living room with a bit more bass. I knew about the Klipsch Fives and Sevens, but when I saw the Nines on sale I thought "Go big or go home". They were beautifully packaged and there was no damage to either speaker, thankfully. One advantage the Edifier's have over the Nines is that they are paired wirelessly, meaning there's no umbilical cord/wire connecting both speakers. This seemed important to me at the time, but I realized that I would never separate them more than 20 feet apart anyway and the cord wouldn't be a problem for me. Just keep it in mind if truly wireless connectivity is important for you.The Bluetooth 5.0 connection is very reliable and sounds amazing. With 5.0 there isn't any detectable lossy compression issues like in the old days with bluetooth. The speakers don't make a connection sound, which I typically enjoy hearing for an audible confirmation, but I have never been unable to connect my phone or turntable. For my "First Date" with my Nines I queued up some Telegraph Road from Dire Straits followed by Private Investigations. Both of these tracks make good speakers sound incredible, making you feel like you're in the studio with Mark Knopfler. Next, I put on Radiohead's Let Down and Paranoid Android for some wall-rattling chaos. I've never heard any of these tracks sound so good on bookshelf speakers. The tweeters are simply incredible and even though they're directional monitors, because of the Tractrix tweeters shape and specifications you don't need to be directly in front of them to hear all of the detail. The Edifier's required more precision from the listener's position to appreciate their qualities, which didn't work as well in a larger room. With the Nines larger 8-inch drivers you can feel the low range in the kitchen and still get the treble notes bouncing off the walls for an enveloping sound experience. Standing in front of the Nines is where you'll want to spend most of your time, but I do feel they are better suited for filling a room with sound than the S3000s. But of course, that comes at a price of almost $400.00 more.Oh, and I wasn't too keen on the light tan speaker grille covers that came with the walnut finish because it blends into my walls too much. So, I contacted Klipsch and ordered black grilles for the Nines at around $40.00, so now I have beautiful walnut speakers with black grilles. Great customer support. Can you spend more and get better sounding speakers? Of course... that's what makes audio so much fun, and so expensive. However, if you want amazing sound and don't want the extra expense and setup required from an amplifier, I highly recommend The Nines.

I bought these like new Klipsch the Nines for my new place and expected them to be scratched or damaged in some way but they were in perfect condition. I guessing maybe the box was damaged or looked a little rough. Anyway it was a breeze to set up. The arc hdmi works flawlessly. The bluetooth is easy to connect to, and the sound is amazing. For reference the tv in the middle is a 65inch so pretty big monitor speakers just waiting on the stands. Great buy great sound. Would highly recommend.

3/12/23 I’m posting an update on this set of speakers as they have now broken in: nothing short of spectacular! They are remarkable at low to mid volume and positively vibrant at more concert or performance volume; you can feel piano keys being struck, harp strings plucked by fingertips, individual pick sounds on guitar strings. Ordinary recordings become vibrant, outstanding recordings become at once personal and intimate. Of particular note, the vocals of Alison Krauss, the guitar stylings of Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler are unleashed, the gritty piano works of Dr John and Leon Russel are faith-restoring. Don’t dwell on this purchase too long, be of good faith and take the leap which is infinitely satisfying. The original review is as follows: I’m finally parting ways with my old tuner, Phase-Linear amplifier and Speakerlab 7s, and couldn’t be more ecstatic. I am a lifelong audiophile and musician who has an extremely demanding set of ears. The tech world has finally caught up with Klipsch, who’ve seamlessly integrated Bluetooth streaming, TV, etc, without the need for a separate A/V receiver-your turntable can plug directly in as well. A whisper quiet power amp runs these internally, requiring only a single cable, other than the one power cord to link both. Setup takes all of a couple of minutes. The pair ships securely and with a minimum amount of packaging and space. Although I’m cycling these for a few hours to break them in, even at lower volume, they are quite impressive with no need for an additional subwoofer, although a connection exists for that should you desire. All high quality cabling is included with everything necessary to ease your TV, gaming console and computer. Paul Klipsch is world renowned for designing the acoustics and sound system for Carnegie Hall, bringing a large horn/woofer system to the world of stereo. The original Klipsch Horns have wowed audiences in music halls and theaters for generations. The company has not lost sight of the fact that music needs to be felt, as well as heard for the best impact. Although these would be considered to be on the larger side of bookshelf speakers, they DO move air and fill my large living room with cathedral ceiling with jaw-dropping, clear and pristine audio. The imaging of these negates the need for an additional sound bar for television use. The included remote is simple as is the Klipsch connect app for your phone. I will update this post periodically. The only listener who might not truly appreciate these are the folks who enjoy a 5.1 surround type arrangement. Our family gave up on those as they are better suited to a stationary theater style environment where the listener would be seated in one position to achieve the full benefit. The truly beautiful experience of these is that your sound field is room wide and your ears are not drawn directly to the speakers themselves. A true audio achievement and experience, which makes them an outstanding value.
