Crankcase breather inlet was blocked and wasn't drilled through, made my engine squeak, had to buy a aftermarket crankcase filter

All I can say is wow. I have a 2007 Honda Civic ex coupe with a manual. This really does make a difference for torque on the low end. I can leave it in a higher gear and no longer bog down at low rpms. And when I wanna get up and go it gets really peppy in the higher rpms compared to stock. It does make my exhaust a tone a little bit dealer as well and I’ve noticed that this combined with earlier shifts is already getting me about 3 mpg more than stock. It is a bit pricey but it truly does bring in a lot more and air and a lot colder air compared to stock. Followed the instructions and installation was a breeze.

Purchased this short ram intake a few weeks ago but didn't install it until today. May be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and this case you get a growler of an intake. Installation was easy on my 08 civic ex, and it does take about 90minutes though we did it in probably like half of that time. Started the car up after and you wouldn't even think it was a Honda. Can't speak for everyone else's car but with the deep toned exhaust and ram air intake my car had a mean growl with that nice sounding back fire burble EVERY TIME!! I get made fun of from my friends who are off roaders driving pick up trucks teasing me about driving a Honda and even they agreed my car did not have any "ricey" sound whatsoever (not even close). It's quiet at idle until you hit the gas, the sound of sucking air is so loud followed by a smooth deep sucking tone. As you increase in RPM, if your car is equipped with vtec you will definitely hear it from inside and out. Earlier today I was driving home and hit the gas to see the difference as soon as vtec kicked in there was an insane jolt from the pick up (I have felt this feeling before riding in a friend's car with a turbo). The HP gain is no joke, you'll also notice better gas mileage and increased torque at low speeds (like the car is always wanting to go no sluggishness at all). But like I said, I can't speak for everyone and their experience or expectations but if you're up in the air about the intake I can tell you that you won't be disappointed. I don't even feel like I drive a Honda anymore honestly it just doesn't sound like one you normally hear with that typical "ricey" sound that people know and hate.

Positive, works exactly as advertised. My 2011 Civic has more power, is more responsive, and sounds better. I knocked off a star because the instructions were not entirely accurate for 2011 Civic. The hydraulic line was not where it was in the pictures. (If you have a 2011 Civic you can just skip that step apparently).

I just recently purchased and installed this on my '06 Honda Civic LX. Installation was easy, took about an hour. The first thing you'll notice is how much louder your engine is. Noticeable gains aboves 3k rpm, more consistent power throughout upper rpm range, your engine won't choke out and slow anymore above 5k rpm. Seems to have helped improve fuel economy but this is also paired with a complete aftermarket exhaust system. Pair this intake with the Borla muffler and you've got a great sound.

It is a solid product, ultra high quality. Installation was a piece of cake, so you can do it yourself (save money), just be sure not to avoid any step and you'll find that everything flows the way it's supposed to. When installing don't tighten the bolts until you get the intake in the right position. Could not find any hydraulic line, just plugged the heat shield in the hole that is shown in the picture (where the hydraulic line is supposed to be). Took me an hour and a half to get it installed and proved. Let it idle for 10 minutes or so before test driving it. You'll have to enter your radio code after connecting the battery again, so be sure to have your owners manual or find your radio code in the left side of the glove box.As for performance, I'm not going to say that it adds a lot of HP, but certainly does a difference, specially at full throttle and makes it more fun to drive. The sound is aggressive, it is a bit loud, but acceptable. Take my words, i don't like loudness in a car, but this intake sounds sweet, nothing unpleasant. MPG has not drop so far, maybe you could think that it's decreased but that's just you giving it more gas than usual, after your done experimenting with it everything goes back to normal.I'm really happy with my K&N intake. Recommended to all.

I recently installed my K&N Typhoon Kit on my 06 Civic should I say I was very impressed with the performance. Gave me better mileage plus more power at the same time every time I rev it over 3,000 RPM it Roars like a beast... It also help reduce the delay of the throttle, I noticed it was more responsive. The looks is also nice especially with the included heat shield you'll able to install your stock air induction tube to it.Pros: Easy setup, Guaranteed HP, Better Mileage, Better Throttle Response, Can be maintained with K&N Cleaning Kit.Cons: None at allOverall: Best bang for buck (Short Ram Intake Kit)

I've reviewed several Civic induction kit products (web research and actual installs from friends) prior the purchase and finally decided on getting the K&N Typhoon kit. The overall package is well-designed, kit is complete to the last detailed part and the manual is easy to follow. The fun part comes when the installation is complete. The power and acceleration improvement definitely is significant with the throttle response more felt. Rev the engine above 3000rpm and you hear the wondrous VTEC roar. Warning: you'll definitely be tempted to rev the engine up for the next few weeks.Pros: easy installation, excellent upgrade, nice sound, uses the stock air pipeCons: none
