What I thought was a bad battery, ended up being a bad charger. Thankfully, considering the latter is much cheaper, and this was the best option.It's more compact than the one that came with the Kobalt 80V Snowblower, and I appreciate the blue matte finish vs the black glossy one that shows every little bit of dust. The fan noise is about the same, but the footprint takes up much less table space. It's also much less akward to place a battery on the dock than the orignal. Sliding the battery onto the pins from the side just seemed so akward. This one should have been the original design.All in all, definitely a future purchase if I ever need to have multiple chargers.Cons: Fan seems to run for quite a while longer after the battery is charged than the original.Pros: Price and Design Improvement.

Works like a charm and much less costly than the Kobalt brand! Doesn't take long to charge and last for the entire yard to be edged.

Kobalts 80-Volt Lithium Ion Battery Charger - works like a charm. However since I bought it, I've noticed the price has change significantly, for approx. $50 when I bought it to down in the $30s now. I wish Amazon/Seller would offer some kind of credit when the price changes THAT significantly. Other than the unit itself, it has been working great at recharging my Kobalt battery.

First one lasted less than 2 weeks, stopped working. Just ordered another thinking maybe a dud but they sent me a 40 volt charger instead of 80. Going to Lowes!!

Bought to replace a lost Lowes battery charger. Works great, but this charger is extremely noisy. It sounds like it’s from a fan. Does not seem to affect performance, just a nuisance.EDIT: stops charging at 2/3 finished. Not sure why. Still keeping it, as prices on these fluctuate wildly and I’m tired of looking.
