We bought these for our son, 6 at the time, as he is super into RC anything at the moment. They are big enough to actually move some dirt around and have enough power to formally play construction. We may have underestimated the complexity to use these, as they operate like a real machine. Our oldest boys, 19 and 20, seemed to have the most fun operating the miniature equipment! With that said, these are great, but definitely more geared toward an older age group than our 6 year old. I’d take a guess that these may be more appropriate for 10 or 12 year old+
