Greatly reduced swaying and reduced effect of hitting bumps. Drives much better and easier than before installing them.

We have had our class a coach for a bit over a year and it has been dreadful to drive. As do many other have dealt with driving over any kind of bump is just painful. It has rattled all kinds of things loose across the coach. During our last trip our tv even fell of the wall. We were so close to just selling it and talking the loss since it was so terrible to drive.I had put on the sumosprings and new Bilstein shocks 6-8 months ago and it really didn’t help all that much. I had read how much the konis would help in the past few weeks and honestly didn’t believe it… but as a last ditch effort I decided to pull the trigger. I am so glad that I did. It rides like a completely different vehicle. I can drive down the highway without having to try a and avoid every single little depression or crack. If it was a 1 out if 10 before… it’s at least an 8 now. Not perfect by any means but absolutely reasonable for driving an apartment at 79 mph.If you’re on the fence…. I would highly suggest.

What a difference from the stock shocks. I hesitated for a long time because of the cost. I will never use anything else now. My RV, from day one, always had rattling sounds coming from stuff in the cabinets when driving. With the Koni shocks it will only happen if I hit a nasty bump. So smooth, quiet, and stable. So worth the money.

Wow! Put these on my 09 fleetwood bounder f53 and what a difference! I’ve been in the auto repair industry for 18 years and never had seen any drastic changes made by replacing shocks on standard cars and light trucks so I was a little worried these were not worth the money. This past weekend we took the Moho out and of course the shocks came the same day we left so no time to install. Not far from my house is a rough patch of road that just beats the crap out of us. Every seem in the road sounded like the top cabinets would bust off. Well got home Sunday and bolted these bad boys on and went for a drive. I would say 85% less noise and jarring. I only did the front 2 but pretty sure I will do the tears also! Very impressive… doesn’t make it ride like a caddy but much better!

These were an enormous improvement on the Monroe shocks that came on the coach. Less roll and vast improvement for stability with passing semi trucks. Well worth the investment.

Bought front and rears. Had Billsteins on previously.Noticeable improvement within the first 30 feet leaving the driveway.Body no longer oscillates side to side, just one smooth motion. Hard to quantify as it is all subjective so bear with the rough honest assessment: Railroad tracks 65% improvement in bump and rattle. Cornering confidence 30% improvement (would have the same confidence at 10kph increased speed over tight corners compared to previous ….it reduces roll but doesn’t change the laws of physics) Side to side wobble over driveways or other uneven approaches or during U-turns 75% improvement …practically eliminated. Small road imperfections….marginal difference, expansion joints and the like maybe a 10-20% improvement, maybe less.Bottom line: worth it but more effective at smoothing more severe issues and less effective over the more minor ones. The expansion joints cut in pavement are my main annoyance as we have several hundred kilometers near my house and it is only a marginal improvement over that. Although you can detect a slightly softer hit and less interior rattle, it is far from eliminated. The valving at the soft end seems too light for the instantaneous small (3/4 inch) elevation change and the majority of the load gets carried by the brutally solid leaf springs. No way around that without lightening the leafs and supplementing with airbags to take up the capacity of the weaker springs.Washboard, railroad tracks, potholes, corners and cancelling side to side wobble are its main strengths when compared to the billsteins. If you have relatively smooth roads (non frost heave geographic locations I.e non prairie provinces) the benefit will be more apparent as the big bumps and handling are vastly improved….well vastly for big bumps and fairly good for handling.Doesn’t make it a sports car or an airbag diesel pusher but you can feel the difference.I am writing this review because generally these shocks are highly rated in the RV community but there is always a few that don’t like them and I would like to offer a more thorough comparison having had both these and the billsteins. I do my best not lie to myself to justify my purchase by positively biasing my review, but the difference was immediately apparent.Installation is about 2 hours for someone capable. Torque was 258 on my RV specs. Lower connections are easy but front uppers had too tight of clearance to fully click a torque wrench so I roughly calibrated my impact settings by testing other bolts.Check specs for your setup but this bolt is in shear not tension so torque should not have to be that high in my opinion. Use loctite if using lower torque. Loctite will break after 70 ft lbs (the medium stuff) so if you hit it up again after it’s hardened you’ve ruined its effectiveness. An impact is a big help.1 1/8 socket, torque wrench, impact or breaker bar.Drawbacks -price and there is no dust shield so the cylinder is exposed.
