Okay first off, it's definitely not made to hold stuff on the belt... I used a small pouch to hold my cash and small trinkets on one side and I put a dagger on the other. It shed a lot of fur when combing it. Since I'm small the belt went pretty below my knee, like mid calf or something. I cut it down a size so it would be long enough to keep it around my waist but not too long to annoy me. I'll probably put an extra belt on so it doesn't try to hug me as muchSecond! I nearly had a heat stroke in this 😂. I was trying to get something to show off berserker or barbarian but it was close to the end of summer. It had some rain during the day but this thing made my face red after wearing it for 6-7 hours, so it definitely keeps you warm. I thought it was just a weird sun burn.So if you're going for a barbarian or berserker look during the summer. Don't do it in the summer, Do use it for Fall or Winter. It'll work better for that time of year

This product was perfect for my viking ensemble. It was easy to put on by follow the instructional video. The fur was very soft and and did not fall out. This item did keep my shoulders warm and did not fall off at any point. I would reccomend this item to anyone looking for such a piece of clothing.

For fake fur mantle it was not too bad. Some shedding of the fake fur occurred but overall it is nice enough looking for a faux fur mantle. My problem was the straps and how they were suppose to work. Since one strap is long than the other, this makes the tie off point to the strap on the side of your body. At least it was for me. This means that the strap is constantly pull from one side of your body more than the other which kept shifting the mantle to that side all day long at a faire. I was always having to adjust the mantle on my shoulders to keep them even. The other issue with the straps is they kept rising up. Every 10 minutes of walking the straps went from crossing my chest to choking me out in the neck as they rose up. Very annoying. Lastly, the straps were really cheap faux leather. Pure vinyl plastic basically and not even close to looking like real leather. Luckily I had some other pieces on top I was able to cover over the straps so they weren't seen as much.Personally, if I had to do it again for picking out a faux fur mantle for my costume I would have grabbed the one without the straps and just used safety pins or made my own connection hardware.

I ordered this for my son, who loves to dress up for the ren faire. The size was slightly smaller than we thought it was going to be, but it fit him well. I don't think it would have fit my husband across his shoulders, who wears an XL in men's. The materials aren't the best, but you get what you pay for. And for the cost of this, I'd say it is pretty decent. Good for an afternoon walking around at the faire.
