The Gas-a-Just is available as an OE monotube replacement and as an OE twin-tube performance upgrade. The KYB Gas-a-Just has two separate working chambers: An air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness & control, and a second high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston that provides a comfortable ride during normal driving and adds instant performance on demand.

I haven't had the time to install these yet but will follow this up as the time allows.Having been in the business previously I believe this brand to be the better bet.I am also going with the Moog line of suspension parts for the same reason. However I did notice a customer's displeasure of the Moog clear color sway bar end links as being Hollow and thus not being very good , so I went with another color of Moogs' thinking his comment made sense.Any other honest opinions are sure appreciated, honesty being the key.

I am very happy with this product. I over load my vehicles all the time with cargo as I do flea market shows and need to carry a lot of merchandise and weight in my vehicles to these events. This Shock system was the BEST for the money I ever bought. It supports all the weight in my vehicles without giving a hard stiff ride when full and it still allows a nice soft ride when my vehicle is not loaded down with weight. I compared these with others available in my area and found these were about 1/2 price to the nearest comparison product and yet these are even superior in ride and comfort than the closest comparison product as well. I will gladly buy these again when needed. I hope this helps your purchasing decisions.

The install was easy, the ride definitely is improved on the PT Cruiser. Nice and smooth over small bumps, great recovery over bigger ones, better feel through a corner / turn, and noticed better braking and stability. They look good with no gimmicky do-dads.No setting down/ sagging even with a full tank of gas vs near empty. Will be buying KYB struts for the front, I can only imagine how much better it’ll transform the front if they do what the rear shocks have done.Very impressed, and I don’t impress easily

They seemed pretty soft for brand new shocks especially for my 1ton truck. But I'll try them out anyway!

Installing rear shocks in a PT Cruiser is very easy if you have access to two jacks. Jack up car, remove rear wheel. Two bolts hold shock in place, one top, one bottom. Remove old shock, then install new one in top bracket snugly, not tight, then use second jack under axle to align lower mounting hole on axle with the mount hole in the shock. After installing both bolts, just tighten both bolts to spec, reinstall rear tire, lower car and you're done. 30 minutes total to do both sides. These shocks replaced the original shocks in a 2001 Cruiser with 120,000mi on the odometer and provided a noticeable improvement in ride quality over the original shocks.

Easy to install on a PT Cruiser, and the ride is much smoother since my old shocks made it feel like I was riding a pogo stick
