I had replaced the struts on a Nissan Titan and the old rubber jounce bushing below the hat had weakened and allowed the strut to push past and up through the hat/spring bucket, basically the strut was doing nothing and making noise. I used this on the lower side just as a mirror image as to the top side setup for the Titan and this made it so there could never be an issue with the strut going though the jounce bushing again.

This was exactly what I needed for the front struts on my 2010 Nissan Armada. The order should be shock, shock washer #1 on shock rod first, then rubber bushing #1, then the bushing insert, then the strut mount, then bushing #2, then shock washer #2, then the nut on top.
