I absolutely love this tool. This is my 5(?) Kyocera. The blades do get dull, so you do need to replace them. Use the finger guard! I was lazy. Very painful and bloody mess. Super glue to the rescue.

Tuve este producto durante muchos años hasta que lo rompí de tanto usarlos, como el amor. Me pasé de hacer fuerza y rompí el plástico, la cuchilla seguía intacta.Es comodísimo de usar y consigue unos cortes extrafinos sin oxidar la verdura.Este modelo, el japonés, tiene como diferencia que una de las cuatro posiciones en las que se puede ajustar es de seguridad, que bloquea el filo de la cuchilla para evitar accidentes.Como nota chula, el vendedor me incluyó una nota de agradecimiento en un sobrecito muy mono, muy japonés, además de una grulla de origami que ahora me hace compañía en la cocina.#Recomiendo

This can slice a ginger root to 0.5 mm very easily. It has three thickness settings. 2mm is the thickest. I have never used anything better for slicing things very thinly.

όταν μου έσπασε το προηγούμενο που είχα από δική μου υπαιτιότητα γιατί άσκησα μεγάλη πίεση,παράγγειλα αμέσως αυτό το εργαλείο που μου είναι απαραίτητο στην κουζίνα.Εκτελεί άψογα όλες τις εργασίες για τις οποίες προορίζεται.Επίσης μεγάλο του πλεονέκτημα είναι η ρύθμιση του πάχους κοπής.Χρειάζεται προσοχή στον χειρισμό για να μην τραυματισθεί κανείς , γιατί η κεραμική λάμα του κόβει εξαιρετικά καθώς επίσης να μην εξασκεί κάποιος υπερβολική πίεση γιατί μπορεί να σπάσει.

It took a few emails with a very nice person in the Japan office to figure out how to manage the slicing adjustment due to instructions printed only in Japanese but they were extremely helpful. The blade is indeed very sharp and produces fine transparent slices of radishes and cucumbers etc. Just what I wanted for salads and vegetable pickles.

It does a good job slicing very sharp just wish that there were more settings. The 2 mm setting does not make a 2mm slice.
