Had a nasty intermittent loud noise from the old clutch, kind of sounded like a palm sander but more aggressive. The clutch plate which is really a hub and clutch pressed together as one piece was starting to seperate and become two pieces. This repair kit was the perfect solution for not wanting to do a complete clutch replacement. Parts were virtually identical. Would have been 5 stars, but for some reason the 2 shims that came with it were too big to fit into the spline bore... odd. Fortunately I was able to reuse the old shims. More to that, the new shims were evidently not as thick as the originals so 2 would likely not have been enough for proper clearance.

The product was an exact fit and worked great. No instructions in the package but many videos on the Internet showing how various people went about changing. I remove battery for a little better access and got to it from the top.

2010 Tacoma 4 cyl. Thought the compressor was locked but the squeal was from the ac clutch. 10 min repair, 8mm socket and a few skinned knuckles. Hint, put your old spacers back in upon replacement

I don’t even want to give this 1 star because if how horrible this clutch is and how frustrated it has made me-This is the second one I’ve purchased and both have been absolute garbage. The first lasted about a month and a half before the clutch disc broke around the hub- all that was left of it was the center hub where the bolt is, the rest flew off. So I bought another one to replace the disc (since the return time was past)- replace the disc and a week later the electromagnet came loose from the compressor and started spinning like the pulley- it destroyed the wiring harness- so now I have a brand new magnet and pulley left over from the second clutch I had purchased, so I replaced both the magnet and pulley, lasted 2 weeks and now the pulley bearing is shot and locking up, it caused damage to the belt and left me stranded. Do not buy this Cheap garbage. It will cause you a lot more harm and frustration than it’s worth!

I used a small flexible extension with my 3/8 straight pneumatic impact tool to remove the front bolt, it's an easy replacement task.

Oh, I'm seriously SO happy with this.My 2010 Tacoma's A/C broke on what seems to be the hottest day of the year. It was working just fine, and then... not. Sometimes there were horrible noises coming from the compressor clutch, and sometimes there weren't, but in all cases I got the dreaded flashing A/C button light of suck. Oh, it was SUCH a long, hot ride home that day.Web searches suggested the likely cause was that the rubber coupling at the front of the A/C compressor clutch had failed, and sure enough a closer inspection showed that to be true. I ordered this and two days later I had the part in-hand, ready to install.30 minutes later I had working air conditioning. I won't get into the specifics of removing the old assembly and installing the new one, other than that a) I added some Blue threadlocker (don't use Red!!) to the new bolt before installing it, b) don't forget to install the shim washers; and c) I used an oil filter wrench to hold the outside of the new coupling assembly while I tightened the bolt.

Got this because my engine started screeching when ac was on. Dealer charges $1000+(they want to change entire condenser) bough this, replaced it in under 20 mins and had ac again. Dont even have to remove belt. Remove bottom skid plate, hold pully with vise grip, undo bolt, remove clutch hub, add new one on, enjoy ac again.

I put this on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. You must be careful that the inside has the small spline because there are the same looking compressors with a bigger spline. It worked perfectly. Mine the rubber became detached and the compressor wouldn’t turn. When removing the old one off the spline you must pull it off as straight as possible to come off easier.
