Sure, it is a little heavier than some ultralight options, but it fits perfectly and I can keep it attached to my tent with some string.

I would have kept it but I'm 6" tall and it's just not long enough for me to use.

I researched and read many reviews. The goal was to have something ‘ultralight’. As a trekking pole tent it does its job. It’s rain proof and dries quickly. Super light and fairly easy to set up (I recommend to watch several different people set up this tent on YouTube before you try it yourself) there is definitely finesse involved. It has a small footprint. It comes with stakes (that I didn’t use because I prefer my Nemo sweepstakes).I purchased the ground sheet separately. It came with the tent and fly already attached, which I found helpful and appreciated.I didn’t like that my trekking poles were out in the rain, which may or may not be a deal breaker for some, especially with cork grips.I ultimately decided that the interior of this tent just wasn’t the right thing for me - Not enough room for self and gear, not enough space between self and mesh wall, too low of a ceiling to really sit up comfortably.Even with all of the sides staked out to pull the tent walls away to allow for more interior space it still felt too close for me. (I am a big girl - 5’6” and about 250).I don’t keep my gear outside or in the vestibule because of creepy-crawls, as well as I like to sleep with my pack up under my feet.Typically I would go with a 2 person tent because I like to spread out but I was going for a smaller footprint, lighter weight and less cost option. The Lanshan 2 person would have been overkill for me in the way of trying to utilize both trekking poles and find suitable sticks to pull out the sides. All in all I would say that I’m not unhappy with this tent, it just isn’t my style. I just purchased the Nemo Hornet 2 person, it’s about the same weight, easier to set up and much more spacious for my needs.

Definitely lighter than my other two tents smaller but when thru hiking you just need a place to lay down and sleep. Added features of being able to site up to change clothes and cook is a bonus. If rain keeps you in for the day it's not going to be uncomfortable. The lightweight factor means I may take it on other camping trips with a tarp to h a ve an outdoor covered area from sun or rain so not all my time is in the tent. Quick easy setup makes it the ideal choice for thru hikers who are short on funds.

I purchased this tent earlier in the year right as COVID hit in preparation for several backpacking trips. It replaced my 15 year old Alps Extreme II which while functional, is heavy. Since then I've taken it on four multiday backpacking trips in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Georgia. Stacked up against friends' tents from places like REI I would say you'd have to venture well into the $500+ price range to find something that has a better combination of durability, light weight, and ease of use.Things to note:1) It is a single walled tent, so you will accumulate moisture on the inside.2) The pitch video that you can access from the manufacturer is not particularly good. Hit YT and search for "Mier/Lanshan UL Tent Perfect Pitch". A perfect pitch and proper use of the guylines on the sides are essential to this tent performing at its full potential.3) Don't worry about a groundcloth unless you're camping on unusually rocky terrain. Nothing you'd want to sleep on top of would damage the floor.4) I am 6'2" and I would say I am at the upper limit of who can comfortably sleep in it lengthwise5) If you're accustomed to tents where the vestibule contacts the ground it will drive you insane that this one doesn't.6) You need a trekking pole that is a minimum of 115cm high to effectively pitch this tent.7) It can fit an adult (230lbs) and a large child (100lbs comfortably. Two normal sized adults could do it, but they'd be snug. You'd need to sleep head to foot for greatest comfort.8) Upgrade the stakes, you'll thank me9) Upgrade the tent bag. The one it comes with is an incredibly tight fit and a pain to put the tent back into if it's wet. There are some compromises you make with this tent, but they are well worth the trade off for the price you pay.
