Cute , but leaked water everywhere . I thought the stone would absorb the water left on the dishes . I have since returned this.

This stone mat is all the rage and lives up to the hype. The stone is quick drying, looks good, delivered without any chips or cracks and adds flair to the countertop. Very absorbent and was nicely priced. I haven’t seen any stains yet but it seems easy to clean. I like the color and happy with my purchase.

I really liked this dish drying mat and thought it would work perfectly in my white kitchen. Unfortunately within one use I have already stained it. I washed my coffee french press and took apart the components for my french press to allow them to dry out before putting them in the cabinet. I was frustrated to find a ring that one of the french press components left on the drying mat. I tried to lightly scrub the mat with dish soap and I tried to sand paper the mat, but the stain is not coming off. So unfortunately this is not the best drying mat for anything that might accidentally leave a little unexpected stain.

This is a nice stone mat, but have realized the trades-offs for more easily storing the mat are not worth it for us.We have been learning about stone mats since recently deciding to try them by the shower and kitchen sink. This one is attractive, and the color fades into the floor and counter. The same slatted open design that allows it to roll up, however, has some real trade-offs. The spaces between those slats get stuff in them and are not easy to clean. They also seem like a great, little incubation space for mold to grow.Since stone mats are heavy, if we were to get another the focus would be on one designed to just stay in place all the time, without the compromises made to make them foldable or rollable. The seller thoughtfully includes the sanding paper for keeping the mat clean and attractive. This also highlights, however, that little tiny, stone fragments are getting into the air (and possibly lungs) from the mat, so you may want to take it outside or wear a mask when cleaning.
