I recently purchased the Leatt Knee Brace, and my experience has been quite disappointing. You can check my Amazon; I don't leave many or very few negative reviews. But I don't want to see someone spending their hard-earned money on this mistake of a brace. Here are the main issues I encountered (and you will, too)First, the design is seriously flawed. There are no quick clips, meaning you must wrestle with unwieldy Velcro straps. This adds significant time to putting them on—why should it take 15 minutes to get these braces on properly? Because you need to refit them for every use. The Velcro also sticks better to itself than the intended catch, making adjustments a nightmare.First, you must pull apart the tangled mess they become in the bag.The fit is exceptionally poor. Despite following the site’s sizing recommendations, the braces were off. I tried two different sizes, only to realize the problem lies in the poor engineering design rather than the sizing. No matter how tightly you ratchet the Velcro, the braces slide down your leg even before you leave the house. Even seated, these are a mess. I ride an EUC, and standing, they slide down almost instantly even though you tighten them enough to cut off blood supply. The knee braces have terrible pinch points you must watch out for—they bite!Inevitably, you'll pinch your hand or fingers in the snapping turtle-like kneecap cover.Every person in this review group, good or bad, has suffered a death pinch and yelped out in pain no matter what they tell you. What about the silky sleeves? The included sleeves only exacerbate the sliding issue, making it worse instead of better.Gooping the shells inside with silicone may help, but for $300+, Leatt would likely resolve the slippage issue.Given the high price, one would expect a much better product. Unfortunately, these braces are expensive, ill-fitting, and nearly functional at best.I only use braces for jumps and freeride, so I missed the return period; otherwise, I would rid myself of these. I'd feel guilty selling them on eBay or Craigslist for 100 dollars to an unsuspecting person.I do not suggest these braces; you will be sorry.Steer clear and look for a better-designed alternative.

Thankfully, these braces haven't needed to protect me in a crash yet. They go on and off easily without needing to re-adjust, they are comfortable and not restrictive. I've used them with the included liners, and without, and over pants. Always comfortable.

They are a bit bulky which can be quite annoying.I forget that I wear them until their bulk prevents me from actually sitting in my car seat.I will say that having gone down (much) harder with these on, vs with knee pads... I really really appreciate these when it comes to testing how well your body handles while tumbling down the street after falling off an EUC.These don't protect everywhere, like behind the legg from abrasion, but if you have to slam your knee into a tree or the ground... these feel much better then not having gear on ;)

1st day out riding, pinning it out of corner, I meet up with some Squid 🐙 on a Quad with just a helmet, levis, and a t-shirt! Get a clue??? going the wrong way, I went over the bars , could have been really bad if it weren't for my new leatt knee braces!! They have some battle scars but nothing broke! Aside from some shipping issues with FedEx, these braces are the bomb! I recommend them for anyone who rides dirtbikes .

These work great and are very comfortable. Different size cushions for side of knee contact made these customized. I love the sleeves that are not too hot and comfortable.

I was worried about the fit due to seeing several different fitting guides around the internet, but it worked out fine. They fit under my Klim Mojave pants just fine, but it’s pretty close. These adjust and go on fairly easily, but I have to admit it seems like my legs have different proportions every time I put them on, so I end up ripping Velcro fairly often, rather than just using the snap-in clips consistently. Seems like I always sweat a bit putting them on. Once on, they feel OK. I can almost forget they are on, but mine tend to slip down a little, over time. No big deal, just a minor annoyance — just pull them up quick and you’re good again. The key strap is the one around your upper calf. I got it a little too tight first time, and had a sore spot inside my right calf after the first wearing. Nothing major. I figure it’s going to take a while to get it all figured out. I still think that strap should be the tightest location, because that is what holds these up. I’m trying to avoid over-tightening the other straps because I think that contributes to the braces being pulled down due to the shape of one’s leg in those locations.Fortunately, I’ve not come off the bike with these on. From kneeling with them on, I think if you took a very direct hit with them on it would probably hurt various parts around your knee, but your patella would not take the brunt of the blow, which is the purpose. Aside from that, of course, is the protection against twisting and hyper extension. If you get a really strong hyper extension force while riding, it will probably hurt your shin a bit, since that is where the energy is redirected, which is evidence if you straighten your legs to stand. Again, a trade-off, and better than an actual hyper extension. I’m running the shims that give the least hyper extension protection (allow your leg to straighten the most).Probably my biggest gripe with these is I keep banging my knuckles when upclipping the straps to take them off. It’s pretty annoying. I guess I need to figure out on better way to approach the unclipping operation.
