We had to replace a cracked button on our 35 year old door bell. This replacement part worked well. The light is super bright.

The quality is better than I expected for the price. Our brass trim plate has a 5/8" opening, but the new button assembly was a loose fit in the hole. I slipped a rubber O-ring on from the back side to help hold the new part more tightly against the trim plate at the front. The new assembly was deeper than the one being replaced, so also had to carve a deeper hole in the beveled cedar siding to make it fit. The old one was still working OK after 45 years of use, but new bulbs were no-longer available. The new LED is nice and bright, so that's a plus! The part is a bit fragile compared to the 70's original - so you have to be pretty careful with the handling and installation.

Has broken into pieces twice now. I was able to patch it back together the first time, but replaced it after it broke again after six months.

I had high expectations for this. An LED doorbell would have been great. This one not so much. It didn't fit.The quality is abysmal. I should have believes other critical reviews. Waste of time and money.

I have been replacing these on my front door every years but this is my first LED model and as people have stated it is considerably brighter. Simple install. Hope it lasts a while.

fitment was perfect into the OEM housing ...... and the dang things light up also ........ impressive, we'll see how long they last before losing contact

Installed easily in my vintage Nutone PB-29L push button doorbell. As expected, the LED light is somewhat brighter than the original incandescent bulb. Time will tell how long the LED and the spring mechanism last.

The incandescent bulb (essentially non-replaceable) in my existing doorbell button finally burned out after many years, but i wanted to keep the solid brass decorative escutcheon, so i bought this button as a replacement.It says it fits a 5/8" hole, so i had to slightly drill out the existing escutcheon hole with a Forstner bit because the hole was a tad less than 5/8", but even so, this button wouldn't quite fit because the plastic retention ears on the sides of the button barrel don't compress and were to thick to go though the 5/8" hole, so i used a Dremel with a rubber bit to slightly shave down the plastic retention ears. (You have to be careful not to shave off too much or they won't act as retention ears.)This doorbell button has a feature i consider to be very useful, namely it's a two part unit that twists apart in the middle, which means the decorative/button unit can be pressed into the escutcheon, while the functional unit with the bulb and switch can be independently connected to the doorbell wire, and then the two units can be twisted back together before screwing the whole assembly to the door jam. This also means that the LED can be easily replaced if necessary without having to unscrew the doorbell wires.I measured 22 VAC on the doorbell button wires and the instructions say not to exceed 23 VAC, so I'll see how long the LED in this button lasts.
