I used three layers to make a 4000k led light fixture match a 2600k bulb pretty closely. Saved me a lot of trouble buying and installing a new fixture. It’s a particular shaped light that I have yet to find in 2600k. I am very happy with the results.

I'm retired from video production. I bought a light for under a cabinet in the kitchen that was advertised as 3000k so I was a little wary of the light matching all the other 2700k led's in the kitchen. So I figured this 1/8 CTO would help - which it did.

These are wonderful if you need to make your low voltage led garden lighting warmer and more inviting. Mine were rated at 3000 kelvin, which they said was warm, but I didn't think so. I just cut a piece of this lighting gel to fit the inside the glass lantern shade, reassembled it, and now it gives me the most perfect warm light. I feel a bit like I'm at a resort when I walk by them. We'll see how long that lasts. :)

Have used it to color correct LED light bulbs, and I plan to use this in the studio to replace many of my halogens with LED floods. I like the strength of light, like the lower electric bill, but not the cold color. Fluorescent just makes me tired, and I find that even though I can get a good intensity of light, it still doesn't show the colors well. Will cut pieces of this gel (or possibly one step lighter) and add it to some sort of diffusing (frosted) film to get a light closer to what I need. According to some articles I've found on the web, some claim that no matter what you do, due to light frequency, you won't be able to get anything as good as halogen. But some galleries and at least one major museum has indeed switched over successfully; I just can't afford what those companies want for their lamps.Because it has already been done, I'm reasonably sure with some fiddling we can get acceptable results with stuff that's already available.

It was a good first step in the process of making LEDs and CFLs more like incandescent bulbs. My wife hate the blue/white cool of some of those bulbs; although many are much warmer at 2700K. But I bought a dozen inexpensive LED flood lights, and they are very white. So, I ordered this to experiment with warming them up. Turns out that it took 4 layers, equal to a 1/2 gel, to get the proper color. I ordered on of those but have not had the time to work with that yet.
