Building a roll cage, I burnt up a couple hole saw bits. This carbide Lenox bit is the best. This hole saw is incredible. No tooth damage and great cuts (very very aggressive). Make sure you have the torque, wrist strength, and speed all correct for this blade because it will rip.

As the title says. If you need to cut a hole in metal(s) don't waste your time and money with a bimetal hole saw. Buy a carbide tipped saw, like this Lenox. You're not spending much more, but you're getting a much better product. Easily cut through my stainless sheet at 3/16".

I needed to drill 10 two-inch holes in cement board. After dulling my two-inch bi-metal hole saw part way through the first hole, I ordered this. Amazing difference. Two observations: (1) I spent more time removing the cement board material from the hole saw than I did drilling the 10 holes. (2) After drilling the 10 holes, I put my cordless drill on charge and the charger showed that it was still fully charged. Yup. The right tool for the job!

I have made several cut in stainless steel with the less care possible on a jig for making pipe joints and this hole saw did more than 200 cuts in it and still going.

Needed to cut a perfect circle in an MDF cabinet. I had a cheapo hole saw at hand which got stuck. Got this Lenox one and it did a fantastic job! The build quality is very solid and performance is great. Made in the US.

Cut through hardyboard, then though a stucco wall. I've tried many cement rated hole saws. This one left them all in the dust. Highly recommended.

I usually buy Milwaukee Hole Dozer saws; they're sharp and long-lasting. But cutting holes in plaster walls wears them out quickly. I upgraded to this LENOX carbide saw, and it works very well. It quickly cuts clean holes through thick plaster in seconds. Hasn't lost a bit of sharpness yet. Can't say how well it cuts through other materials, but it's carbide, so it should do well on metal.
