My Kia PHEV has a 13.8KWh battery pack and I have a Level 2 charger in my garage which charges at up to 7.6KWh rate (32A/240V). That’s just 2 hours for a full charge. Sadly Kia provided only a Level 1 charger in the trunk so it tops out at 1.7KWh meaning an 8 hour charge at best. This unit can match that but because it is also Level 2 it can work with NEMA 6-20 receptacles albeit limited to just 16A. That charge rate would be 3.8KWh or roughly a 4 hour charge. All in all I like the extra flexibility this gives me when traveling. The 16A limit makes it a bit slow for at-home charging of my car but a good compromise for replacing the Kia charger in the trunk. Nicely packaged in a carry bag, comes with an adapter cable for Level 1 use and an outer cardboard box for shipping.

We’re really impressed with this Level 2 EV charger. The 18-foot cable gives us plenty of reach, and the 32 Amp power is great for fast charging. It’s easy to install and works well both indoors and outdoors, which is convenient for our needs. The design is sleek and durable, and it’s certified with FCC and ETL, so we feel confident in its safety and quality. The charger is portable, so we can take it with us if needed, and the charging speed is noticeably faster than our old Level 1 charger. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable choice for anyone looking to upgrade their EV charging experience. Definitely a great value. My brother is super happy i got this for him for when he visits, it was a win win!

This charger is good for a slow trickle charge when plugged into a US 20 Amp plug. The necessary adapter cord is provided so that I can use this EV charger in a regular 20 Amp outlet. I have an RV box attached to my home that lets me charge a variety of batteries for RV's and my EV. I have a standard plugs in that box for 50 Amp, 30 Amp, and 20 Amp. Using the pigtail adapter that comes with this charger only lets me connect to the 20 Amp plug. That means I get level 1 or slow charging. That's not to bad since my Ford F-150 lightening Lariat is only used for about 10-15 miles a day. I can just plug it in to recharge my truck leave it there till the next day. I wish there was an adapter or means to plug it into a 30 or 50 amp. I use the 30 Amp to use the factory charger provided by Ford, but I did want another charger for backup. I like the cover on the nozzle of this unit that protects the end of the nozzle as the trucks charger does not have that. The cost for this charger represents value and installation to a 20 Amp plug is super easy. Just plug and go.

This level 2, 240V Wallbox EV charger is a reliable and efficient option for electric vehicle owners looking for faster home charging. One of its standout pros is the 32-amp output, which provides quicker charging times compared to standard level 1 chargers; ideal for daily use and reducing downtime. The 28-foot cable adds convenience, offering flexibility to reach your vehicle in various parking setups, whether indoors or outdoors. Its SAE J1772 compatibility ensures it works with most EVs on the market, and FCC/ETL certifications offer peace of mind regarding safety and quality standards. The unit’s design is portable yet durable, making it versatile for home installation or on-the-go use. However, installation may require access to a 240V outlet, which could mean extra setup costs for some users. On the downside, while the charger is marketed as portable, its size and weight may make frequent transport slightly cumbersome compared to smaller, travel-focused models. Another minor con is that it doesn’t offer advanced smart features like wifi connectivity or app integration, which are becoming more common in higher-end chargers. Some users also mention the need for a dedicated circuit to handle the full 32 amps safely. Despite these limitations, this EV charger provides solid value for its price point, delivering reliable, fast charging in a rugged, weather-resistant design suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It's an excellent choice for those who want straightforward, efficient charging without the bells and whistles.

This wallbox charger stands out with its cool design, beats the usual boring boxes. It is a cinch to use, just plug in and charge, no fussing with displays or settings. Build feels solid, and at 240V with 32 amps, it delivers real Level 2 speed. The NEMA 14-50P plug is a plus, pulls full power without an adapter. But that slick form factor comes bulky, takes up more space than I’d like. The 18 foot cable is a tad short for my garage setup. It skips adapters for regular outlets, locking you into 240V and NEMA 14-50P, no 16 amp or 120V options. No way to dial down amps either, stuck at 32. No display or settings to check charge status, though my car’s app covers that fine. Solid pick if you’ve got the right outlet and reach.

I opened the case to confirm that all of its components are up to the task of handling 32 amps, and it’s all good inside. Even tested the GFCI feature and that works too. Unfortunately, you don’t get any kind of data, such as volts, amps, watts, kWh... because there’s no display. You also cannot increase or reduce the current through dip switches or jumpers. It’s 32 amps only. There are other downsides. The cable is a little cumbersome, especially in cold weather, due to its PVC jacket. The J1772 connector feels flimsy. The wall box is bulky, considering how empty it is, though it is easy to mount and waterproof. And it’s not exactly great value for money. For the same price, there are other EVSEs with higher current ratings and more features.Still, since EVSEs are basically just extension cords anyway, this one works fine.
