The flaw in this device is that it changes its programming randomly. It changes the charging current from 10 amps to 32 amps all by itself. I set it to charge 10 amps and charge my car. The next time I go to plug it in it has changed to 24 amps or 32 amps all by itself. It also randomly changes from delayed charging to active charging all by itself. I would not recommend that you buy this product. I have had two of them and they both have both done the same thing.

I bought this charger so that I could set charging times using the ‘Smart Life’ App. I have been using the charger for over 5 months now and the charger works great. However, I can’t say the same for the App. I have been using the Smart Life’ App for over two years to control lights, plugs, etc. It works great with several interfaces I really like. But when I put the charger in the app it was buggy from the start. Here is what I found;ProsSettings for the charger can easily be changed in the appEasy to turn charger off and onConsSettings change without notice or reason (especially charge current)Scheduling start times and stop times works only most of the time.If the charger is turned off in the app and you plug in the car it turns on. (Not good for off hour charging)Local controls are so limited that you can’t turn the charger off and onI have tried to find help but have not been successful yet.

This works very well. With the app, it is adjustable by 1 amp, while the device is only 16, 24,32. It does not get very warm when charging, between 75 and 85 degrees. I use this on my dryer circuit so the adjustable amp works great. Very pleased with this purchase. The hanging box the charger slides into is plastic and I had bought another that was metal and used that to hang the charger. The plastic dues seem a bit flimsy.

Have had this charger for over a month now. I have a 40 amp breaker and this is running at 32.2 amps on the display. My Equinox charges around 23 miles per hour. Has been working well with no issues. I love having it wall mounted. App is a generic app. I already had it downloaded for my home wall outlets. Keeps track of how much electric it has used. Overall I am very happy with this Charger. If you want something that gives you real time data on charging then this is not the unit for you.

I had returned a similarly priced unit that never paired to my WiFi. This one pairs fast instructions were spotty but acceptable. I could set amps and it worked. The reason for this purchase was delayed charter scheduling a charger time to limit on peak chargers. This one with the app seems to kinda allow this but it’s not intuitive. I have a not me second user on my charger which is strange and I did a related charge but the data is missing. It did charge over night. So it kinda works but is not fully sorted. If you are willing to hack the schedule as scenes on the app it may be a workable choice. I set it to 32 amps as this seemed like the spec. I also set daily scenes to delay start from 10 am to 10pm. 12 hours max delay. Not exactly what I wanted. This means I am live charging up to 10am. Which is ok not perfect. My utility starts hammering me at 10am. Support is spotty but it’s a good cheap level 2 so far with some programming avail. Hoping its reliability is high.The app programming works very well. I have my charger using my cheap kilowatts it’s on a daily schedule I could not be happier I’m increasing this to 5 stars. Great product programming scenes does take some trial and error.-updated 2/14/24

This is a quite basic charger compare with my other charger installed at office parking lot.pro:It delivers the power as promised. I charge my 2024 Toyota Prius Prime quickly (it only requed 3.6Kw/h). Takes about 3 1/2 hours to charge from 30% to 100%. (as indicated on the Toyota Apps)The Price is wonderful for the moment.Con:The App do not show current session charging energy used at Charing page.The App History Charging time is the "plug-in" time rather than actual energy delivery time. it took 3 hours to complete but shows 11 hours (plug in).The device do not have security for charging outdoor setup. Any one can use it, so it is ok for in-garage or non public use.The charger sometimes resets its charging Amperage deliver, I setup for 32A and it sometimes reset tp 10Amp. I am sure no one changed the setting.No App notification if the car is fully charged/ finished chargeIn summary, it is a budget device for in-door charging, however, the app can be more useful with an upgrade of the features.James

For a product review, it is difficult to not include any experience interacting with the seller/support because that's the first line they are standing behind their product and make you feel confident and safe to use the product. In my case, it's barely existing.Upon receiving, it charges my EV car, but the app unable to pair with the charger. The app feature is one of the features that "should" make this product standing out from others, cause there are lots of Level 2 chargers on the market already, and they offer similar features and some at lower price. The app I am using is able to pair other Smart devices so I am 100% sure that's the charger's issue but not the app or network issue.So, I contact the seller/support and they never tried to troubleshoot the issue nor willing to deal with it. That's the quality or who is standing behind this product.The only way is to replace it, upon receiving the replacement, and spend some extra time to "reset" it, finally it works.Yes, it finally works, so that makes it from 1 star to 2 stars.Support is barely existing.Quality control/assurance is in question.Level 2 chargers are more common nowadays, I would recommend to look for a more quality and sturdy build product, plus a good seller/support behind the product.
