Love it. Easy to adjust the amps and it comes with a carrying case

I've had this charger for a few months and it's been working flawless. I keep it outside since I dont have a garage and so far it's been holding up to the elements. I only use on a 120V oulet and I keep it set at 10 amps. The charger that came with my car charged at a fixed 12 amps and it melted 2 - 14 gauge extension cables and 1 outlet. Having the ability to change the charge current is essential.

Bottom line, your car will get charged and the price point is excellent. The build is also excellent. It's quite sturdy. Here are the things I don't like:1. There's no on/off switch. You have to wire in a switch for a home setup, or just unplug the unit. If you don't, you can't remove the cable from your car.2. The programming function is not well designed, and you have to fiddle with stopping the circular settings as they appear by leading them, similar to shooting skeet with a shotgun. Really quite poor.Would I buy it again? Yes. Why? If you can put up with #1 and #2, you'll have a good, safe charger at a great price.

This cost less than half of my first EVSE which lasted about 5 years, so that is nice. This is a basic adjustable EVSE that can charge from a standard 120V outlet (haven't tried that yet) or a 240V outlet, which I use, and maybe something in between (not sure). Charging amps can be set at 8, 16, 24 and 32 amps. I like the flexibility. On a long trip I would take this along with various adapters that would allow charging from almost any available outlet. Changing between amp settings is easy, and the display shows everything I would like and more than I need. There is no Bluetooth connectivity, and I don't need that. The housing and cables are robust, though I can't see inside. I would like to see a better option for hanging the unit. I had to look around for a nail head that would actually fit into the one mounting receptacle. That should be improved, and two mounting receptacles or a separate mounting holster would be better. I'm very happy with the design, flexibility and construction quality. If any problems develop, I'll update the review.

I needed a unit that charges at only 8 amps (240v) to take better advantage of my solar during winter months & slightly cloudy days. This unit works great. Not the fastest or the cheapest, but the only 8 amp I could find. Only 14ga wire, so it's rated properly at 13 amps maximum! I have purchased units that go from 10a-40a for only $50 (ShockFlo). But I needed 8amps.

easy to use. I am running this on 24 amps (on a 30 amp breaker) and it charges my normal car in under 10 hours. I could set it up for 24 amps (before I ever plugged it into a car) it holds that setting even if left disconnected from the wall outlet for hours. It appears well built. This unit has not gotten warm (much less hot) when charging. I have had no trouble with the electronics inside the house and the car charging outside in the rain and snow. Your experience may vary and the instructions do say not to charge in wet weather.I wanted to see if the amperage selection memory would stay and it is apparently non-volatile (it stays where it is set until a human changes it). so far so good!

Product claims to be IP65 dust proof and waterproof, and yet the first item in the safety precautions is “1. Do not use the equipment for charging in rainy weather.” I live in New England where it may rain for several days straight. Do they assume it will be ok for me not to charge based on the weather? Their IP rating must be bogus. Planning on returning it before I even try connecting once to my car.

My original charger finally failed so I ordered this as a replacement. The charger says you can pick your amperage, which you can, but the description does not say that the adapter, which you need for a traditional outlet, can only handle the lowest amperage of 8amps. I drive a PHEV with a smaller battery in it and after over 8 hours of charging, the car still wasn’t full. So now in order to take advantage of the higher amp output, I need to purchase and install new wiring and outlet to accommodate the charger. I wish the description relayed that information vs. just saying it comes with a 5-15 adapter.
