This is a nearly perfect rear light. Very high lumens for both day and night (this is for the strip drive 300 lumen). 270 degree visibility. Usb-C charging. Nice form factor, quality construction and good reputation for reliability. Great battery capacity, and a battery life indicator (so crucial for a rear light!!!). The one flaw with this light is the options of light patterns and lumen output choice by Lezyne. The steady on (low, high) is fine. However, the flashing options here are less than ideal. The first “flashing” option is “pulse”. It is like the light is breathing, it goes from dim to bright, and back down to dim. The problem is that it is so slow, it does not draw any attention at all, it might as well be constant “on” mode. The second option is the what they call “flash 1”. It features a multitude of LED’s flashing pretty regularly and it is somewhat attention grabbing but they limited it to 40 LUMENS ONLY. Why, oh why? It is so lack-luster and what is abysmal is that this light is capable of 300 lumens, and for probably the most useful flash pattern for nighttime use they cap it at 40. Next, there are two day flashes available. They are identical except that one is brighter, with the brighter one hitting 300 lumens. They are only suitable for day use. At night, these settings are too bright and will stun both drivers and other cyclists/road users, making you actually less safe. Furthermore, the flash patterns could be improved. They feature two quick flashes, followed by two more quick flashes, and then three quick flashes. The issue is that the pause in between the series of flashes is way too long. For anyone texting and driving behind you, there is a very high chance that when they glance at the road in between typing their messages, that they will not see your light at all because it will be in between flashes, and completely “off” and not flashing any light. People who text and drive (or browse instagram, etc.) have a specific technique which they consider “safe”. This technique involves using the phone while driving (looking down) and glancing up at the road every few seconds just to make sure they are not veering off the road. I gathered this from watching many videos on the ‘tube. I tested this in a mock scenario, not actually driving but in my garage. About 70% of the time, when I glance up at the light which was turned on at the other side of my garage, it was not flashing, it was in between flashes. As I looked back down at my phone to write another line of text, I never saw the light. For the drivers who are alert and not using their phones, I make myself visible enough in other ways so that if they are paying attention as they should, they likely will not hit me. It is the people who are driving distracted that I am concerned about, and this light could use improvements to guard against these folks much better. It is a shame but that is the reality that we live in, the number of people driving distracted is just too high. I hope Lezyne makes adjustments to this light to meet the needs of cyclists in our modern day, in which the highest risk is someone looking down at their phone and not on the road. I would like to see a brighter “flash 1” at 80 lumens, and the “pulse” mode sped up to be more attention grabbing. For the “Day Flash” modes, I would like to see the flash pattern sped up slightly, to minimize the pauses in the flash pattern, which would increase visibility to visually distracted drivers (using phone and driving). I will still use this light as is, but will have to combine it with a second light to fill in the gaps.

Having had two smaller lights give up on me after a few hours, it was a relief when this one worked first time and is still working after three months of almost daily use. Easy to charge, fix on to bike, and operate. Forget about smaller models and go for this.

This fits with a rubber ladder fixing so designed for tubes but sits well enough on my tail pack. I'm a cycle commuter and often pick up shopping so I have a bag. I've never experienced a light that is so violently bright! I wouldn't use it in town on full bore. It actually leaves a white area of flash in your eyes after a few minutes. For me, as a rural commuter, this is ideal and you can dial it down. Usb C charging port behind a rubber flap. I would have like more fitting options. Seller got it out to me very fast. I'm happy with this and I can see this being clipped to my motorcycle as a fog light if needed. It is intense.

things like these are worth the premium. theres a small busy road transition on my mtb trail and having this light makes me feel safer. Lezyne's wide angle design is pretty much the best out there. bought 3 other brands like specialized and kept Lezyne. mounting platform is a little odd but its been working for my 34.9mm dropper post. can rotate a bit easily but that mostly happens when plugging in to charge. not a dealbreaker.i would advise ponying up the extra $10 for the 300 lumen "pro" version, as it's noticeably brighter in daylight and also lasts slightly longer for the same dimensions. not sure how, as the listed weights are also the same on Lezyne's website. i ended up returning the 150 lumen version.

Very happy with my purchase. I bought this light to put on my custom made Italian steel bike. I looked at quite a few different light before I settled on this brand due to its known reliability, looks, brightness, modes, sleek design, and features which were all important to me. I own several bikes, all with lights since I ride them all, and this is my favorite light because of its features and reliability. This light offers several modes of operation and it is bright enough to be clearly seen in bright sunshine which is essential for where I ride. Turning it on or off is very easy and simple as well as selecting the various modes. The light attaches via an elastic band which is sufficient to securely attach the light to my seat post. However, because I have lost lights before while ridding, I do not want to take the chance of loosing this light so I use one small 4" zip tie which positively locks the light in place. This semi-permanent installation is not a problem for me because I keep the bicycle in my office and just connect the USB directly to my computer when in need of charging so I do not have to remove the light from the bicycle. Battery charge lasts quite a long time, with some rides going 4-5 hrs and I have yet to run the battery anywhere near the point where the light turns off. I've made subsequent rides with the same charge and the light has yet to run down. Overall, the performance of this light has been outstanding and I have yet to experience any issues or problems after several months of use and long rides. I highly recommend this light, it works very well, looks good and complements my bike very well. If you want a light that really performs well, this is one that you should seriously consider. To me, reliability and features that supports my safety while ridding is a big thing and this light fits the bill exactly.

Don’t waste your $. Yes it’s bright. Yes it has tons of settings (too many to be useful). But the mounting is total complete trash. I run a bike shop. I buy 100’s of lights. I thought I’d check this one out. The mounting bracket is at best unstable… but more likely to just break off while you’re riding - hopefully not at night or in low vis conditions. The strap is too short for modern seatposts and as noted in other posts will clearly break. Just stay away. Get yourself almost anything else down to $10 and you’ll be better off. Unfortunately I was too busy and waited too long so I can’t return and get my money back. This one will certainly just end up languishing in our lights box…

I really like this rear facing bike light. Easy to use and with a nice bright light. I love the fact that when you turn it back on, it resets to your previous setting so you don't have to cycle through all of the settings again. Great feature. Decent battery life.
