I thought these would be good tools for balance exercises. I compared them with a rocker board that I also have. When inflated just a little soft, my foot came down on the floor as I flexed it around. When inflated a bit harder, they were unpredictable and unstable, a fall hazard. The spiky surface could be a good foot massage for short periods of time.As seat cushions, they're also unstable and disconcerting. They may find use as lumbar or thoracic support, not sure yet.I mentioned inflation as an important variable. The kit comes with a little pump and a spike nozzle of the type used to inflate sports balls. The valve hole in the cushion seriously resists nozzle insertion, so seriously that I bent and ruined the nozzle by pushing hard enough to force it in. (Fortunately I had another.)Pumping the cushion up is a matter of guesswork because you can't really tell how hard it will be until you stand on it, or sit on it, or whatever, at which point it's not all that convenient to add or bleed air.

As a teacher, I know that many kids need to wiggle and move while they learn. I'm always looking for options for classroom appropriate fidget and movement tools that can be used without disrupting learning. These wobble cushions are a great option because they can be placed on a student's chair, and allow the student to wiggle back and forth while still remaining in their seat. I've found that inflating a little over halfway works best to allow enough movement in the cushion and not be too firm. They were able to support me without breaking, so they can definitely hold up to my students. The only negative is that I was unable to use the included pump since the pump needle bent and broke almost immediately.
