Your cart is empty.Limnophila hippuridoides is originally from Asia and the stalks grow to be 20-50cm high and 6-10cm wide - often with beautiful outwards crooked shoot tips. A simple plant, able to adjust to various conditions. The leaves are green with a red-violet underside, and the whole leaf turns red-violet under ideal growth conditions. It is a vibrant growing plant, which willingly creates new, solid shoots from the base. Thinning of the oldest and longest shoots is recommended, to make room for such new shoots. This plant can very easily be a complete showstopper and centerpeiece for the aquarium. The 'topping' method is the easiest & most productive way to propagate this species, though seed culture on wet loam is not impossible. The hobbyist should be careful to plant the individual shoots so that they do not shade one another. The continual topping of stems in the substrate will render the shoots of this plants bushier, as multiple growths tips will develop from the originating stem.
