I'm a wedding videographer and used this to mount a torch LED light onto a small light stand. After two weddings the bottom knob was completely cracked to the point where it's going to fall off and I'll have to use pliers to get the actual bolt out of the bracket. I tried the seller and manufacturer and neither would send me a replacement. That's why they're only $26. I have a better bracket for a different light stand. So save your money and buy something more solid than cheap plastic.

It works perfectly and is made from metal unlike the cheaper ones that are plastic. Should last me for a long time.

Works great for me. Made of metal for a decent price - plenty sturdy for my cheap strobe, and probably good enough even for a pricey flash.

Awesome multi functional bracket! It can easily convert between a horseshoe bracket and 3/8 male for flash/light attachment, it also comes with a reversible 1/4 and 3/8 female tripod attachment. I bought 2 of these for my flash and . This bracket is stable and able to hold a good amount of weight, it was able to hold the handheld light at 90 degrees without any problems.

Not sure why the negative reviews. Solidly-built and works great. I'm not a professional photographer. If I was, and I needed to use such a device every day, I probably would buy a more expensive version with better thumbscrews. But other than that usage scenario, this is great and holds the flash well. I would buy this again if I needed another.

Yes, you can use this to mount a flash to a light stand. However, I found this product to be quite stiff in the joints and slightly scary in securing my speedlites. These are the types of light stand/adapter mounts that I bought when I started using flash and didn't really know what I was doing. I have to say I have never been thrilled of these flash bracket designs where you place your speedlite on the bracket and then tighten the screw. I'm always scared to death that I am going to over-tighten and break my speedlite shoe and have, on more than several occasions, had speedlights slip off and hit the ground. So, I don't so much hold anything against this product as I do against this particular design. For what this is, it's meh.... okay. And maybe slightly better than similar products. The design that I would recommend for mounting your speedlites is a ball head design. Particularly, the Phottix Swivel US-A2 (PH87207). The flexibility in the ball head design just blows away this and similar products. They do cost more (maybe $15 as opposed to $10), but that extra money is money well spent. Just loosen the adjustment knob, point your flash in just about any direction you want, tighten the knob and you are locked in. There's just no way to do that with this flash bracket design.

This thing is not good at all, you put a flash in it, you increase the chance to drop your flash by 80%. It does not secure it at all, really bad fit, I hate it, and it took lots of effort to twist it to try to secure the hot shoe but you only hurting your finger, it won't move.

I will buy 3 more of these, they are much better than the ones I have now. This is a solid, tight set up, I feel comfortable putting my strobes on this. Once everything is in place and tightened up this is not flimsy and holds well. All metal construction, feels sturdy, ready for whatever you are going to throw at it.
