Bought this to replace the controller on my 1999 pre-IMGL step.Installed it today, the control unit and new magnets fit perfectly in place of the old unit.It works fine….. now! (after much head scratching and troubleshooting).There are a couple of items to be aware of:- 1) When you first connect to the motor, the step will work in reverse….. close the door, step extends, open the door, the step retracts! Needed to reverse the red and yellow motor connections.- 2) Along with the change to the new door magnet, there is also a change to the function of the step power switch. The original switch disabled the step by removing power, this new unit works opposite, so now the previous “off” position is “on” and vice versa.- 3) The instructions say to duplicate the wire positions from the old style pigtail, rather than colour matching the wires, but if you do that, the white and yellow wires will be reversed and the step behaves oddly, but if you simply colour match the wires, other than the items in points 1 & 2 above, the step functions normally. I’m now satisfied that the step works properly (no more using a step stool) and it’s not an issue that the step power switch is reversed from original. “Last out” feature, under-step light, and ignition override all work correctly.Overall I’d say this is a decent purchase but it would have been very helpful if the instructions outlined which colour wire from the unit is for which purpose. I already knew which wire did what on the motorhome, but had no way of knowing which wire did what on the new control unit.

When my rv steps stopped working I was sure it was the control unit, come to find out it was the magnetic door switch which is included in this kit.So I could have got away with a $15 fix but as I had already installed the controller I decided to keep it. :(Just for reference it does work with a 2003 pace arrow.

Wonderful !!! Works perfect with our kwikee 32 steps. It replaces original part # 909506000. We are in a 40 ft 2000 Newmar Mountain Aire as point of reference.

Easy to install and worked almost as advertised. The 2 power wires (yellow and red) to the electric motor were reversed, so once I figured that out the unit worked perfectly.

This item was a perfect replacement for the older Part No. 909506000 that they no longer make. For a point of reference, it replaced that older item from my 1999 Winnebago and restored FULL Functionality...order with confidence...was a simple plug and play.
