I had to go to the hardware store to buy a stem that was longer because the one in the package was not compatible with installation. Additionally the directions were horrendous. Might as well been written in Chinese where it was made

This porch light is sturdy and well made. The antique brass finish is appropriate for my Victorian home. Amazon had it available for less expensive than through a popular restoration company. Can’t beat free prime shipping and returns. I’m happy with my new light!

I'm going to assume I didn't read carefully because the light fixture is a tad smaller than I imagined it would be. However, I like the look of it and it does work on the front of our business.

This light looks great! It's a little tricky getting the links open and closed without damaging the paint, but with a soft rag and a pair of pliers I was able to pull it off. It definitely hangs a little lower than I was expecting, and you can only get it down to one link (besides the rings on the light and the base), but I have plenty of room on my porch between the door and where the light hangs, so until somebody 6'5" comes along I'm safe.The trickiest part that I ran into was cleaning it. The glass at the top is a bit challenging to clean inside and out, but I'm hoping that the inside will stay fairly clean and only the outside will need to be washed more often. Time will tell.Overall, I love the light and the traditional feel that works well with my old home.
