This thing has suffered an endured. It lives on our cast iron egg pan. It has never failed even with ocasional accidental submersions and dynamics of cold to hot from the fridge.

Works great and has heat resistant stuffing inside. The performance and function is 💯 on point.However it’s smells atrocious and of the cheap chemicals used to tan the leather (this leather is NOT vegetable tanned).My solution was to wash it well three times with soap and water and when dry, rub it with baking soda.All this might seem like a lotta BS for a handle, but the addition of the heat resistant material inside compared to the plain leather ones - really made this handle cover worth the extra effort for me. And all this helped significantly with the odor, and the washing helps to further soften and mold the handle to the pan handle. As others have noted - Some people have an allergic reactions to the chemicals used in the tanning - so your individual experience may vary.

Fits both my Lodge cast iron 12" skillet, and 10" round griddle. It survived putting onto the handle of a skillet that was previously heated to 450 degree F. Completely cool to the touch. However, I'll keep to using my welders gloves for transporting the skillet in and out of the oven.When placing your hot skillet onto the work surface, seriously - placing this handle cover onto your iron may save you from a most inconvenient burn.Truth be told, while using my griddle for eggs, cooking low and slow, a pot handle was truly not even a thought as the handle was warm, and maybe - just a bit hot - to the touch.Holder fits perfectly. Nice design. Doesn't have the health drawbacks of PFOS/PFAS found in silicon versions. Doesn't slip.

I love this sleeve. Will probably get another one. It fits snugly on all my regular handle cast iron pans. It does not fit on my rock cast iron pan which has a wider handle or on my grill pan which also has a wider handle. I guess what I'm saying is that it fits on all my Lodge cast iron pans and so it should. No sliding around or trying to make its way off as I lift the pan or turn it to drain it or get food out. Excellent and well worth the money.

Hands down the best handle cover for a Lodge or similar type skillet.It handles the heat brilliantly and you can pick up a pan on maximum heat (up to about 350 degrees Celsius I would say), without anything extra, like an oven glove.It has a durable inner lining, sewn into the inside of the leather that definitely helps with the heat absorption and also the fit around the skillet handle.Nice size as well, overall a great, quality made product that feels good in the hand.It replaced a silicone version which was no where near as good as this, I had to use an oven glove when picking up the pan everytime.Saying that, I nearly gave this 4 stars due to the cost. It is expensive at £30 incl. Shipping, etc. However, I then considered the fact that Lodge or similar quality skillets are for life, which makes the cost on reflection, a whole lot better.£60 all in, for a pan and handle that will last almost forever is pretty decent.

Der Preis ist echt happig, aber missen möchte den Überzieher nicht. Das Leder ist dick und robust und gewinnt Patina- ein Hingucker mit Funktion!Ich hab die Lodge mit Durchmesser von 30cm und der Handle passt genau.

This is perfect for your cast iron fry pans. Versatile, it fits all of my cast iron fry pans and is quickly interchangeable.The holder is made from heavy duty leather and is also attractive. Easily move your pan from burner to burner or to the table without any heat transfer to your hands.Absolutely worth the money and have also given this as a gift to my 'cast iron' friends.Would absolutely buy again!

以前購入した「レザーホットハンドルホルダー ALHHNS85/62-6349-84」と比べると少しブカブカかなと。たぶんスティッチ部の所で多少の「遊び」が生まれるからだと思います。機能的にはどちらも中綿が入っており同等ですし、手触りや風合いもほぼ同じでした。

Has a good fit and feel for my Lodge pan. It does a good job of protecting my hand...better than my old cheap hot pads that allow my hands to get burned if I'm not careful.It seems like the edge will get singed if you leave it on the pan while cooking...probably be the case with any product like this. I share this with two pans anyway, so I just slide it back or off while on the stove.

If you own Lodge cast iron pans, this is the only pan holder you'll ever need. I don't normally review products but seeing as how some people order a product without reading the full description of what they're ordering and then complain about it when they get it then give the product a 1 star rating, I felt a review was in order to offset the bad reviews from the numbskulls that gave this item 1 star.If you're expecting soft and supple leather (like deer skin) look elsewhere. This is dry, tough - baseball glove leather lined with a compacted cotton like material to insulate the handle holder from the heat. Other reviews state the holder wouldn't fit the handle of their pan.... Maybe if these other reviewers had actual Lodge cookware and not cast iron made by another manufacturer they'd get a more precise fit. I can't imagine that during the manufacturing process of this item that there is that much of a difference between one finished handle vs. another fresh off the line that it causes some people to have a great fit and others with a 1 star fit. There has to be another variable for these handles that "don't fit".I own the 6.5 and 10.25 inch skillets and the handle was a bit big for the 6.5 pan but fit the 10.25inch pan like a glove. It may fit more snugly on a 12 inch pan which is to be expected if the handle on a 12 pan is a bit beefier than that of a 10.25 pan. As with all leather products, with constant use it should loosen up a bit.I've had the silicone holders as well and silicone heats through quickly when you're holding the weight of a full pan of (insert meal here). I don't leave the cover on any pan while I'm cooking either. I'll put it in my pocket and slip it on and off only when I need to handle the pan then leave it on when I'm done cooking. I cook over both open (gas) flame and a radiant glass top cooktop and have simply found that leaving any handle cover exposed to that kind of heat for as long as you're cooking only serves to subject the handle holder to needless damaging heat.Can't beat the price, you're welcome.
