Second Generation Log Clamp Lock

For 1-1/2" - 5" Logs

This is our new second-generation log clamp lock. The first-generation product has been tested by the market, and we have upgraded some aspects reported by customers.

For example, replacing ordinary steel with High Manganese Steel, the vertical pull rod is thickened, thus increasing the clamping force of our log vice.

The number of positioning slots in the side ladder is increased, so that more detailed adjustment can be made for logs with different diameters.

  • Quick and Secure
  • No Sliding and Rolling
  • High Manganese Steel
  • Detailed Assembly Instructions

I got this for hand carving an apricot log. Holds project tightly so I can use my chisels. Good quality and will work great for any log less than 4 1/2 inches. It looks like it could maybe hold a 5 inch log, but I haven't tried it yet. I'm glad I bought this one!

Product seems Ok but unless you’re fairly mechanical, I wouldn’t recommend it because it comes with no assembly instructions. I pulled up the pictures on Amazon to use and that worked ok, got it together in about 5 minutesUpdate: I used it to try to hold logs so I could scrape off the bark with a draw knife. As a log holding vice this product was terrible. The logs were continually moving around making it impossible for shaving off the bark. Waste of money DONT BUY THIS JUNK!

Honestly, I didn't think I would like this as much as I did. I do alot of scavenging for wood in the forest and usually just used c-clamps to hold them down when cutting but it wasn't always that secure. This thing holds them down firmly while cupping them gently enough to not Marr the wood up. Easy enough to assemble and install, and when properly setup it holds logs very well. Not just useful for wood as pipes, tubes or anything with a roundish shape will be held securely. Once I get my workshop up and running , this will be a permanent install on a bench. My only complaint is that the long treaded bolt the sungs down the log can easily be banged up by the holes that it goes through and I worry that I will be messing the threads up if I'm not carful

This is a handy product to have while camping or at a rural property. It allows for safe cutting of small logs for fires. This was helpful for me as I usually have to use my foot to hold the log while trying to cut it. This holder solves that. This log holder fits up to 5” diameter logs. Of course, if you want to cut larger logs then this product isn’t for you.It has an adjustable grip and handle above and a sort of cavity on the bottom to hold the log in place. Once you tighten it up, the log is held in place and you’re ready to cut. You’re also able to anchor the assembly in place. All assembly hardware and tools are provided.

If you've ever struggled to try to cut, drill, or shape a log then you know how frustrating it can be. Trying to keep it steady without rolling around can be an exercise in futility. I then discovered this tool which is specifically designed to eliminate this problem.QUALITY:This vice is hefty and well-built. I would hazard to guess that the logs are going to give out way before this clamp would. The clamp comes unassembled and all the pieces are sturdy and fit together nicely. There are a few welds on the clamp that are a little messy, but really it's only a visual thing and I'm not worried about anything failing. The majority of the vice is powder coated with a very durable surface and with normal use it should protect it from scratches and marks.ASSEMBLY:The instructions for assembling this are pretty sparse and it took me a bit of tinkering before I understood how it worked and put it together. It's not overly complicated once it's understood but a bit clearer instructions could be a benefit. The pieces all went together well and all the pieces that were needed were included in the box. It does come with some wrenches to help with assembly but they aren't the best and using some higher-quality ones makes assembly much easier.PERFORMANCE:The overall design of this clamp is fairly simple but surprisingly ingenious once understood. The main part of the clamp is controlled by a large bolt that is spring loaded which keeps the bolt tightly seated in the locking grooves. You can adjust the tension of this bolt by tightening the nut down or loosening it depending on your needs. This allows you to adjust the clamp to the groove that best fits the log and holds it in place. As I mentioned this clamp is pretty robust and once you get a log clamped down it's pretty much there until you decide to unclamp it. The threaded handle allows you to quickly and easily tighten down the vice on the clamp and it's fairly easy to swap out the logs or adjust the size as needed.WHAT I LIKED:• Robust and durable• Nice rust resistant powder coating• Holds logs very securelyWHAT I DIDN'T LIKE• Instructions are vague

Got this tool to use in the shop. I had a lot of piperwork to do involving cutting steel and aluminum pipe. Before this tool I was using a standard vice which was loosening quick and dented the pipes. This one's original purpose was for wooden log, but I would say it is even greater at holding steel pipes while you cut them.I am in love with this tool! It is very solid and clamped down really hard without denting the pipes. When I do cut with this clamp i use a reciprocating saw which create a lot of vibrations, a standard vice or other holding device usually loosen up because by the vibration. This one stay strong all day long, it is made of heavy gauge steel and is well-built.Instructions are clear and easy to follow. I would say the final product is flawless they even took the time to grind up the welds. Paint hold up pretty well. It is provided with all the hardware you need even the screw to clamp it down to your workbench.Only problem I had was one of the hex nut was the wrong size. They provided an M4 fastener while I needed an M6, which is no problem. I had it laying around in the shop. love this tool, it deserved five star.

I cook a lot on a smoker. I have salvaged many branches of choice woods for smoking. I have always been a bit nervous about cutting small disks for or food for the smoker. With this clamp it is a lot easier and safer to cut small disks.Assembly was fairly straight forward. The vise holds logs in place securely while you cut.Clever. Safe. Durable.
